12 oz Shredder Lubricant

Good day! I never thought I would be writing a review about shredder oil, but here we are. A while back, my shredder made a horrible noise and completely jammed up after trying to shred a stack of old papers. I was pretty sure it was headed for the trash. Before giving up, I decided to try this Fellowes shredder oil. I applied the oil to the stuck paper and along the cutting blades, then let it sit for several minutes. To my surprise, the shredder started working again. The paper came out, the blades moved freely, and it sounded much smoother than before. What impressed me most is how little oil it takes to do the job. The bottle is pretty large, so I expect it to last for years. These days, I use it about once a month after shredding roughly 400 to 500 pages at home. It only takes a minute, and it seems to help keep the shredder running smoothly and prevent the kind of jam that made me buy this in the first place. It is not the most exciting thing to buy, but if you own a shredder, this stuff is definitely worth having around. It may just save you from replacing your shredder machine.

Perfect for keeping my paper shredder working properly and lubricating the gears. I have had the same shredder for 15 years because I use this product to take care of it. If you have a shredder and you’re not lubricating it expect to buy a new one sooner than expected.

It works. It just plain works. We were ready to throw our Fellowes shredder out since we've had it for more than a decade. This oil brought it back to life! It is so worthwhile.

It works and you don't need a lot of the product. We just make an X on a page and run it through. This lubricates the blades without the excess dribbling it across the cutters. Oh one tip, Don't cut the nozzle too deep! Keep in small so you don't dump oil everywhere. We bought two bottles and accidently clipped the tip to far down. It gets very messy if you're not careful. Good product should last years.

I picked up a "pre-owned" Fellowes paper shredder at a thrift store because I'd stacked up a lot of old business documents with personal info on them. The shredder worked fine but I wanted to keep it in working order. There are all sorts of homemade ways to lubricate a paper shredder, but for the minimal price of this 12-oz bottle, I figured I'd just go the official route. The best method seems to be to put a one line of the oil on the opening for the blade, turn it on to run it forward, then press the back button, then commence shredding paper. I'm not sure how many days, months, or years I'll get out of this pre-owned shredder, but I have no question that this oil will keep it in the best running order possible.

Keep your shredder running smoothly for years. I only use Felliwes oil and have never had a problem with my shredder. Five years running at peak performance. Easy to apply, long lasting, and stores well at normal (garage) temperatures.

Can't complain. Good quality and does the job. Cheaper than others.
