Beautiful yarn, crocheted a cardigan it is sooo soft

Love this sparkle yarn! Purchased the three pack to make a beautiful crocheted hat and shoulder wrap for my 80 year old mom's birthday. Used a metal crochet hook, no splitting, beautiful sparkle that isn't too bright, perfect for Christmas and holiday time. I have always used this yarn for Christmas projects, and recommended as well as the regular simply soft without the sparkle.

What I loved about this was the softness and the color. Beautiful results.What I didn't love about this was that the metallic sparkle strip wasn't very well worked into the yarn, so as I worked with it and balled it up, I had to be very careful not to allow it to start collecting and knotting up in spots behind where my fingers held the tension. There were some lengths where it just ran parallel to the yarn.Still, once I figured out a strategy for preserving the integrity of the metallic bit relative to the yarn, the project worked up nicely.Again, this was soft, and I produced a lovely broomstick lace scarf holding two strands together for the project.I wouldn't use this for baby projects, though, as the metallic strip is scratchy. Not too much for an adult, but for a baby, I'd stick to a sparkly yarn designed as a baby yarn instead.
