Works great with the right technique
As many other reviews say - don’t follow the directions. Go on youtube and see how others use it succesfully. Don’t paint it on with a brush, how the cream first hits the glass will determine its final finish, so if you paint it on, you will be able to see brush strokes. What worked for me: I use cheap acid brushes you can find on Amazon. It’s best to fill your brush by basically scooping up the cream and then just glob it onto the glass about 1/8” thick. Once the area you’re etching is completely covered, let it sit for about a minute, then with a full brush, gently begin moving the cream around to ensure no air bubbles are trapped and that it gets into any tight corners of your stencil. I’ve had good success leaving it on for around 8 minutes, but when I’m doing several glasses I’ve left it on for as long as 10-12 minutes with good results. Once enough time has elapsed, I just rinse off the cream under luke warm water in a sink, making sure to let the water run for a little while when I’m done to be sure all of the cream is rinsed from the sink and pipes. I’ve seen some people say they will rinse and then repeat the etching process for more even results, but if you use the method above I don’t think repeating is necessary. So far I’ve been able to etch 24 shot glasses, 12 Whiskey glasses and 12 wine glasses plus a few practice etches using a fairly open stencil and have over half the bottle still left. A little bit goes a long way.I priced out having glasses made and the price would have been just a little bit cheaper than buying the glasses, a Brother Design n Cut, stencil vinyl and etch cream and doing it all myself and now I have all the equipment and supplies to take on any future project and it all has basically already paid for itself.

This is Great Stuff if You Like the Look of Etched Glass Beads .....
I love the look of etched glass beads - there's something about that matte finish on lampwork beads that, to me, looks very, very classy. Even cheap glass beads can be classed up when you etch them. I watched a short video on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gIPB2xzV8Z4) on the best technique to apply this stuff, and sure enough, it works perfectly every time I do beads. It is a little bit more work than just slapping on a coat of it and just letting it sit for 10 minutes or so, but you get great results, not spotty or blotchy. I use cheap paintbrushes from the arts and crafts section to apply it, and do it on a protective surface so I don't etch my counters! And make sure you shake the jar very well before each use! Does exactly what it's supposed to do, in about 10 minute, and it doesn't take a lot of product to get results, so I anticipate this jar will last me awhile.

Great product!
New to crafting and this was my first time etching. Followed the directions and everything came out beautiful. I etched a mirror with a French market stencil.

Amazing on glass!
My friend’s son is getting married in February. She wanted to make something special for him and his soon-to-be wife. We made about 100 wine glasses etched with their names and wedding date. The etching looked amazing. It works!

This product worked exactly like I was hoping it would. I used it on more eyeglass lens and now they are crystal clear. Very simple directions.
