Despite the frequency range listed on the packaging there is nothing special about this speaker that can sop you from using it on any regular mono external speaker port for any type of mobile or stationary radio. Works great on my CB radio in the car and the noise reduction while a bit extreme is definitely effective. Having a mute switch is also a very nice feature! At this price I don't think there's a better external speaker on the market.

For the price it sounds way better than most mobile stock speakers . The high cut helps on engine noise too .. small size but sounds good and easy to put anywhere.

I have a Yaesu FT 8800 I needed to install in my 2016 Subaru Forester. The best place for the radio body was under the drivers seat although under certain driving conditions (windows open, highway speeds) it was hard the hear the radio. This speaker fits perfect in the console. No screws, just placed it there and adjusted the bracket. I will be adding a plastic velcro strip on the bottom of the speaker to hold it in place. Audio quality is excellent.

As some other reviewers noted the speaker produces almost no sound when filter is turned on. If you want a nice small (a little smaller than this one) amplified speaker get a Retekess V115 selling here for $23. It has a line-in jack that automatically selects the line-in input when you plug in an audio source. Plus you get AM/FM and shortwave bands (they're AM) and can record radio programs and music to a TF card reader that's built in.

I like the size of the case, it is compact but the speaker is pretty good sized. I use it in my SUV for my Ham Radio. It sounds good. The filter on it works but you have to turn the volume up pretty high if you engage the filter. I think it is going to work great for me. For it's size it does a very good job. It is 8 ohm, and rated at 11 watts.

Good speaker, decent sound, switch to turn sound on and off, switch to cut sound down a bit (not out, but softer) comes with mounting bracket.

Sound quality is very poor. The switches don't seem to do anything useful. The cable came pinched at one point almost in half.

Nice small external speaker for my CB in a Semi, Works Great, and the switches are a bonus
