They've become my favourite dry-mouth aid
I've had dry mouth for years, but a few months ago started taking a medication that made it so much worse. My mouth stuck tightly together as I slept, and I'd find I couldn't open it in the morning, or when I woke in the night. I'd need to pull it open with my hands, and the lining of my mouth peeled off! I've also had my mouth and throat completely covered in ulcers, and a hacking cough, especially in the morning. I've tried mouth washes, sprays and lozenges. Constantly drinking water helps a bit, but it doesn't replace the saliva. I'm not keen on using artificial sweeteners, but feel I have no alternative at the moment. These are a bit like fruit gums, without the fruit. Quite pleasant. Like others, I use them at night. One wasn't any help to me, so I put them to one side for a while. But when I found nothing else helped I tried two together. And now sometimes I take four together. Someone complained that they stick to the roof of your mouth; yes, that's true, they do sometimes, but they'll come away in time. As my body became accustomed to the medication, the severe problems eased up a bit, and these pastilles were then more effective. They don't cure the problem; I don't think anything does. But if you use enough, they really help. Now I don't need to keep drinking through the night! Amazon sell Salivix and Salivix Plus, from different suppliers, and these are currently the cheapest. In the reviews under one of the sellers, people were saying that sweets work just as well and are cheaper. Be aware that dry mouth makes you susceptible to tooth decay. Not all sweets encourage the mouth to produce saliva, and the last thing you need when you have dry mouth is to be constantly sucking sugary sweets! Salivix Plus are better than Salivix because they contain fluoride, which helps to prevent cavities. I'm here to buy more, because I use a few every night and early morning. They may seem expensive, but they're worth every penny.

Work OK for me when using as I go to sleep.
I use these for dry mouth overnight (caused by meds) I pop one in when I'm ready to go to sleep. Seem to work quite well. Expensive, but anything like this is! I like these ones as they have fluoride too.NB. Be careful with dry mouth sprays, gels etc, - a lot of them contain sugars which will cause cavities (especially overnight, as does a dry mouth!) I learnt this from my dentist when I needed a filling (unusual for me) - when she looked at my dry mouth spray (that I used at night) it contained glucose!

Does not help
These pastilles were supposed to aid the production of saliva but for me, they were not as good as I had hoped. No better than an ordinary sweet, other than they were sugar free. Expensive mistake but you have to try these things.
