This is a good and easy to use calculator.

Use for fractional calculations in steel fab shop for layout, etc. This tool is accurate and nearly priceless when adding fractions of inches.

Works good just expensive

It is very helpful in construction particularly if some of it one doesn't always work on all parts. This item has god "reminders" and helps.

I bought one of these in 1995. The minus button would stick or not work. It was very frustrating, but I needed to do calculations with fractions for custom built-ins. This new model is much better than the old one. The buttons are great and the display window is bigger. The old one still works. The minus button still sticks. But this calculator saves me hours of time and helps me get r done.

Very disappointed with this calculator. It is very handy for working out all your calculations and simple to use,but I just have it a week, I took it on the job site it fell of the top of my toolbox about 18 inches of a fall and when I opened it up the screen was shattered ,was not very happy, hoping amazon will refund me.My advice to anyone is be very careful with it.*I have got a new one and it works great and has taken a few bumps I believe I just got unlucky with the first one and was frustrated when I wrote the earlier review.

I am currently in a building trades college program and this model of construction calculator was a listed on the required items list. If you are familiar with a Texas Insturments TI-30 Scientific Calculator (or something similar) this con calc is going to feel pretty similar, the real difference is in the programmed keys. A function guide fits folded inside a pocket on the back which is handy. The manufacturer also offered a number of armored skins and padded pouches for their calculators aswell.

When I bought this I had no idea it was capable of doing scores of construction related calculations. I am constructing a storage building and wanted to stick build the roof. I need to do little more than input the run and rise and the calculator did the rest. Input the length of a wall and it will figure the number of studs. It also calculates board feet, cost and concrete calculations. A nice buy.

Use it for carpentry work, quick and easy. Does the job

Great tool for construction, I’ll be using this to build my staircase, used it for a few jobs already, it’s great.

Great for construction class. I got a class set of 10 of these. There’s also an app so I can demo it on the big screen. App is not free.
