Not for soft Vegetables!!!
This tool is for Hard Veggies!!! Daikon, potato, carrots! Not for tomato's, cucumbers etc.Works beautifully well sharp, easy to use. Cant really adjust it to the size you want but gets me nice sheets like pasta.

Cheap and destroys vegetables
Disappointment! the thing destroys any vegetable i put in it. The crank end just bores a hole in the vegetables i use.for 100 more bucks i could have bough a kitchen-aide with the vegetable sheeter attachment!!

Too much fun
By far my favorite new toy. There is a slight learning curve considering your left hand controls the depth of the cut but once you get the hang of it it is super easy. Sweet potatoes, English cucumbers, carrots, turnips, radishes, rutabagas, fruits, etc. more fun than it should be

Works ok...
it does work but, you waste a lot of product because it leaves a big core and is somewhat fickle to use.

Love it you have to get one
Ahhhmazing.... I'm a sushi chef, worked at a restaurant that had one of these. And I had to get it.. making daikon by hand takes forever and risking slicing off a thumb. Got it and brought it in to my restaurant, ended up doing daikon and beets. Love it you have to get one. Wish they were abbot cheaper. But it works

This is a cool little machine
This is definitely one of those things I searched for after a dream one night, and of course Amazon had what I was looking for. The machine functions well, does take some practice and skill though.Let me start by saying the whole machine is essentially plastic, but a high quality that stands up to commercial use if you are careful. We broke the handle eventually from forcing the pole into Musashi sweet potatoes which are on the harder size. I did epoxy fix it and bought a second one as a back up.The above is a "canneloni" made with sheetfed muraski potato, filled with duck confit, Cointreau soaked raisins and braised cabbage. It'd a fun machine to have for special ialty stuff like this. The biggest negative is that the rod you stab into the begetable is hollow so potato and such gets stuck and you have to use a very long skewer to push it out to clean. All in all it's cool.
