It is a fine product with real world results in softening the beard for buttery smooth shave ! Lasts longer !

Bought this on a lark along with some extra DE blades. Decided to see how well it would work with 2 or 3 days of beard growth and was pleasantly surprised. A small amount (size somewhere between a nickel and quarter) squeezed into my shaving bowl created enough lather for up to 5 passes or more. It worked just as well for me as my favorite products from Proraso and Barbasol.The tube is larger than I expected, more like a small tube of toothpaste than the sample size that I'd imagined. 👍I liked the palm extract smell too: Pleasant, NOT overpowering and reminded me of a nice bar of soap. That adds to the overall feeling of being clean that a man should get from his shave.I find it strange that Amazon is asking me how well this product travels. It's too large to be allowed on a plane in a carry-on bag, due to TSA regulations. You'd think that Amazon would have known that... Also, I don't do much traveling by plane these days. I can't really answer that question.Other than that, I can confidently recommend this product to fellow wet shavers. It feels and smells great while also being *quite* effective. 😊🪒

This Palmolive shave cream is FANTASTIC! I love and embrace a real barber shop shave experience! A few years back I researched and fell in love with the art of an old school close shave. I invested in what I believe to be best double edge razor and blades to the best imported shave creams, oils brushes and tools and included lots of me trying many, many shave products . My goal was to find the closest shave possible and simply the best shave experience. This Palmolive is a top shelf import great shave product! I like this product better than anything I have tried at any price! I find it odd the the American market does not embrace tube shaving creams as the only choice is can shave cream or can gel when a dab of this Palmolive For Men Classic Palm Extract Shave Cream is far, far, far superior to any can cream at any price!I do find I like to mix shave products for better results based on years of my trial and error. My perfect shave mix starts with the green tub of Proraso shave soap, then add a dab of this Palmolive shave cream and 2 drops of shave secret shave oil and whip into a rich lather using a badger hair brush and I get the best closest shave I have ever had. This Pamolive is great on it's own but my special mix takes my shave over the top!

Price is a factor in my rating, for sure. This is the cheapest shaving cream I’ve ever purchased at $3.75. It took 10 days to arrive, but it’s not like I needed it urgently anyways.As a wet shaving hobbyist, I have tons of shaving products from both big companies and small artisans. I haven’t really been buying new products in the past year, and mostly just stick to a handful of simple favorites these days. But I had to snag this at such a low price; even lower than when Nivea shaving cream used to be under $5.Palmolive vastly outperforms Nivea, and is easily on par with the other popular shaving creams like Proraso, Taylor of Old Bond Street, and Musgo Real. You can spend extra money on TOBS if you want more scent variety, maybe Proraso if the price is good and you want some menthol, and Musgo Real is slightly overpriced despite having a slightly superior post shave feel. Palmolive, however, is an excellent happy-medium in terms of scent and performance, while being available at an absolutely ridiculous price. The only cheaper way to shave is with Arko soap. I have yet to try Arko creams, which are absurdly cheap sometimes.Scent is quite subjective, but I find this more agreeable than the old school scents of Proraso and certain Musgo scents, although I do enjoy the fruitier TOBS scents more. It’s a very simple clean and soapy scent, strong enough to enjoy while shaving, but not strong enough to clash with aftershave or cologne that toy may apply afterwards.If you’re not a hobbyist, that means this product is even more geared towards you. Start with the cheapies like Palmolive (at least for now) and Arko. If either of those wins you over, then stock up heavy on it when you find a low price like this.As much as I love my artisan shaving soaps like Stirling, Catie’s Bubbles, and Barrister & Mann... a shaving cream like this is really all you need.
