Sportline Walking Advantage 410 Alpha Stopwatch

I sourced and purchased this Sportline Stopwatch at Amazon because of its amazing low cost there and that it had specific features I was seeking. I wanted and got: a great price; an excellent stopwatch and clock with a seconds counter; day & date calendar; back light; ergonomic buttons; attractive design; and even a particular color scheme.My few critiques would be: it should have a hard crystal, scratch resistant viewing lens instead of the current plastic lens witch scratches too easily; a re-engineered attachment feature since I didn't want to use the included lanyard and actually modified mine so I could attach it to a shorter carabiner type clip; a possible belt worn, carrying pouch accessory option to better protect the currently vulnerable plastic lens and make its applications more versatile.

I ordered the Alpha Sport Stopwatch 410 on August 3, 2011 the first batch arrive on September 2, 2011 in excellent condition.First impression is they feel solid and have a comfortable rubber like exterior that is easy to grip. The buttons make a clicking sound and provide a nice tactile response. The backlight is a nice touch.Features:Stopwatch, 12 or 24 hour Clock w/ day- month-year, alarm-chime, and blue backlight, split time, and detachable lanyard.I have no idea how long these will last in a school environment used by instructors and student teachers but if they last these will be a great purchase for just under $15.00.Pros:Good weight and feel.Easy to grip.Solid large buttons.Backlight.Detachable lanyard.Large display and easy to read.Clock.Split timeCons:1 out of 6 arrived with dead battery.Does not remember time splits.

I love this beautiful, versatile, rugged and reliable stopwatch. I have used it for fifteen years and it has never failed to work perfectly. I recommend it for anyone in need of a super reliable stopwatch.

I like this stop watch and can't bring myself to throw it out. There's just one problem. Every day at 3:17 pm, it goes off for a minute. LOUDLY. I have followed the instructions in the manual, and while it appears to be off, the alarm is very much still on. I keep it wrapped up in a pillowcase in a hall closet to mute the sound, but you can still hear it at the other end of the house. At least it is reliable! All other functions work normally, and I have sort of gotten used to hearing it at 3:17.

I got this because I love the durability of Sportline's line of stopwatches. This one is no different. The backlight is also perfect when you're not using it during broad daylight.

This was the second stopwatch that I have ordered in the last 5 years or so. I am a stage manager and work in performing arts, so the stopwatch is heavily used and I have been very pleased with how it has held up to abuse. It has been dropped several times and takes a real beating. I still have the other stopwatch, the start/stop button is just a bit finicky now, but usable. The buttons are easy to use and it lights up for about 10 or 15 seconds so you can check the time in the dark as well.

Great Watch! We use this very often for work and this watch is amazing and is very accurate. Will always buy!

I am a self-employed consultant who bills by the hour. I needed something big and easy to use that I could easily start and then stop if I took a quick break. Works perfectly. I even wear it around my neck on workdays so I can find it easily. Looks goofy, but my clients should be happy that I can bill them very accurately.
