Good price. Nice big size of the softbox makes it easy to get soft light by positioning the softbox near the subject.I expected a bit more light with all the bulbs turned on but if I want I can always replace the bulbs with brighter ones.The instructions for inserting the rods weren't as clear as I would have hoped for but this isn't really difficult so no big deal.Everything worked fine. Stand reasonably sturdy. Everything packaged nicely and securely.

So Far Ive had this Light for a few weeks granted I only use it twice a week for Video but overall the Light is Nice and Bright with the option of putting Higher Watt Bulbs in it. The Stand some say isn't great but I found it good not great. Its strong but and well built but when set at the highest height it does get a little un-sturdy. You will have to put one leg in front which will help. So far its good it hasn't wobbled or fallen but of course im inside. Like on most movie sets you should put sand bags on your equipment to help from falling even if the stand is nice and sturdy.

Bought this to use as a fill light. This light/softbox was easy to assemble. Why anyone is complaining about it having no instructions is beyond me. The light output was nice and even--- pretty bright too (315 W!). The stand is also nice for the price (heavier and sturdier than LimoStudio and Cowboy studio). If you don't have a sandbag counterweight, to balance the lights so it doesn't fall, you have to position it such that there is a leg sticking out in the same direction as the light. An easy solution. I did end up returning it regardless of how much I liked it because I found a few tears in the the softbox that I felt would get bigger even if I gaffed it up. And I don't sew... I don't believe they are ALL like this and maybe it was just luck of the draw that I got one with bad seams. Anyway, if you don't care about the quality of the softbox and are pretty handy with sewing or don't mind taping it up, then this is a good light/box for the price.

This is a good product for the price. Construction quality is solid, and lighting quality is consistent and even. My only wish would have been to have higher wattage bulbs included to get more output. I do recommend getting a sandbag to stabilize the stand, and the head and box will tend to tip over the stand if you are not careful.

Excellent value for a complete continuous lighting softbox kit that actually works very well. The cost of the seven (7) included CFL bulbs alone would be almost as much as this whole kit. In addition to the CFL bulbs (which are 5500 degree Kelvin bulbs designed for balanced lighting for photography/videography), the package includes a seven (7) socket light head with three (3) levels of intensity (3 switches--not 2 as stated in the description) and a generously long power cord, a light duty multi-section telescoping light stand (it's a budget stand but it works just fine if you are gentle with it), the 36 x 24 rectangular softbox (which has a great pebbled reflective interior surface that focuses the light output forward while diffusing it), a white fabric internal diffuser panel (your choice if you need this, it's optional), the white fabric main diffuser panel (where the soft lighting happens), and an instruction book.Once you figure out how to assemble it, it's pretty simple. I am very impressed. Thank you Fovitek for this truly amazing StudioPRO bargain.

This softbox put out nowhere near as much light as advertised. My unit arrived defective. I was with a client shooting product and using this light, which I bought as a backup in a pinch, and the unit constantly turned itself off and made many disturbing “popping” sounds. Several times, the unit emitted sparks from where the power supply connects on the back of the light. This light is a fire hazard, I will be returning it ASAP.

The softbox itself is nothing to write home about. It may only be usable with the included light fixture. If you can find a speed ring adapter for another light, the speed ring may be worth more than the softbox.The light fixture is okay, but even with all the included lights on it only produced between f/4 & f/5.6, 1/160, iso200, at a distance of 3ft.The light stand is a joke. I had no idea anyone made light stands this flimsy. It is pushed to it's limit with this light/softbox combo. It is better suited for holding a single speedlight with no modifier in an area with no wind.I don't generally send back items that aren't defective, and this one was not defective. It is just so lacking that I immediately boxed it back up and put it in long term storage (potential yard sale item, or a gift for someone I don't particularly like).

purchased it for my chromakey photo booth since I can't use strobes for this particular event.item is solid and well packaged. I am stationed overseas with APO address... item was delivered faster than typical flat rate priority mail.7 bulbs with 2 switches... one switch controls 3 bulbs and other switch controls rest of the bulbs.set up was quick and easy. took me couple of minutes to set it up. detailed installation direction is included in the box.all items was individually packed and cased... well done.. no way it's going to break during the delivery.I purchased 2 of these to even out my green backdrop. very bright for my use.. if I needed brighter, I can pick up brighter bulbs from local store.Stand is just a stand... but sturdy enough to hold the system. well done.
