Great for Duct repair.
Worked great to repair my duct work on my HVAC system. Thinner but more R value.

Good addition, minimal effort.
I am using this for a bathroom remodel. The original fiberglass wall insulation was insufficient on this cold, northwest corner of the house, but this will be a huge improvement. It is easy to work with and cut, and the minimal thickness adds a decent R-value AND radiant factor.

Perfect for my application.
Was having problems with my a/c air handler in my garage sweating. I live in Florida and the heat and humidity in the garage is awful. I wrapped the entire air handler unit with this product and all is good now. I swear the house is cooler after doing this also. Air Handler stays dry as a bone now.

Worked well
I was able to nicely trim and tape to the 50 gal HW heater. A lot of$ for foam and thin aluminum foil though. (only reason for a 4*)

Very nice insulation and easy to work with
I needed to replace all of the duct insulation on a home I purchased due to rat damage that was found in the presale inspection. This is a great way to cover my ducts. I have installed it with two wraps of 1" strips to provide the needed air-space. Eacy to work with and much nicer than the itchy fiberglass alternative.

Saves me over 9 gallons of oil per month!!
I installed this in October and now it's February. have done some calculations, factoring in average temperature to calculate furnace efficiency year over year. My furnace efficiency has increased significantly since installing this, on average saving me about 9.75 gallons of oil per month. The last price I paid for oil was 4.40/gal so at that rate I'm saving about $43 a month. More if prices go back up. I got rebates for installing it, but even if I hadn't this would have paid for itself in about 3 months! Definitely recommend! It was easy to cut to size and wrap around my ducts, and then I secured it with the special tape for duct sealing (not duct tape - the shiny stuff). I didn't get quite enough for ALL my ducts so I definitely want to finish the job!

Insulation for radiant heat transfer in Los Angeles garage roof
Took a chance on this for insulating directly under my garage roof to reduce radiant heat transfer. After only a day of having a few lanes done, the results are remarkable. Almost a 20 degree (Fahrenheit) difference between the bottom uninsulated sections of the roof and the parts I've already done. Very happy with the performance of the product. Installation was fairly simple besides having some awkward moments trying to hammer staple the seems on the sides to the joists. Im half done with insulating the garage roof at the time of writing this and I already notice a huge difference in the ambient temperature at the hottest point in the day. Flame index of 0 is a huge plus as well.

Foil could be better
Bought a different brand a year ago but this one recently. It’s not as good in quality as my first one but it works. I find the foiling to be thinner and therefore not smooth. Lots of wrinkles etc. it also has excess foiling on the end which is not needed and I have to tuck it under. Next time I’ll buy the other brand again.
