It does its job, which is suck up things from the floor. It's lightweight which is good for the main part of the vacuum cleaner, but not good for the actual head and pole (don't know what to call it) as they are too light. It feels as if they are a toy vacuum cleaner. I'm disappointed that the pole seems so flimsy. The brush on the head is also very tiny and it doesn't seem to make a difference if you use it one way or another (I only used it on hard floor). The container is easy to remove and easy to empty. But if you somehow manage to get something stuck in the front of the vacuum cleaner it's very hard to get to it. I accidentally sucked up a long match stick (used for BBQ), it got stuck in the front part of the vacuum cleaner and I hurt my fingers trying to get it out. I know it's my own stupid fault but there should be an easier way to get things out if they are stuck. I gave it three stars because it's tiny, lightweight and it does its job (positive points) but at the same time the light weight of the pole and head along with the small brush is a setback (neg points). I bought it because I couldn't afford to pay more. conclusion: you get what you pay for.

Hi there, we bought this hoover for our 1 bed home. There was a slight issue at its first use when I unpacked the item which was the sucking head was not functioning well. When I tried to switch to the carpet mode , but it easily was switching itself to wooden floor mode. I used a tape to stop this happening then everything was sorted. We are happy with the hoover despite its having relatively low dust bin capacity.

Pros: compact to store. Sturdy make. Good suction. Great set of variety of attachments with on-tube clip-on storage. Easy to carry around. Easy to clean. Easy cord wind up and on/off foot buttons. It cleans better than other hoovers. Floor attachment has the hard soft floor foot switch.Cons: the tube wonky when fully extended. The part of pipe that goes into the tube a bit short so the tube falls out every now and then. Main handle useful but habitually it's easier to carry by container handle as it's easier accessible at the top, not lower at the back. Floor attachment on the inside, where air flow goes, on the top part is curved, but bootom part is 45 degrees so it costs some loss of suction as air breaks on sharp angle. It's not best for high pile. Had to go over spots many times. The wheels on main floor attachment are rubber so they don't want to glode well on a carpet, especially after a while of hoovering the flat they get a bit warm from rubbing against carpet and don't want to glide at all. Found myself sweating cos i ended up lifting up, back and forth like a broom to finish off without them gliding at all. On high pile carpet it's hard to foot switch between hard and soft floor as the button is a bit hard to press. Cord would do with being 1meter longer or the rube, whichever, to give a two room range without switching over to another plug. I'm 5.4ft (167cm) and i had to lean down a bit to get a good grip on the handle to hoover cos the tube isn't sufficiently long.I ended up returning but is a shame as for a price mark of £80 it would be a keeper withhout those basic design flaws . These are something I'd expect from a hoover priced at £45 mark.

It does it's job and the suction is not too bad but don't expect anything extraordinary. I have to run over the carpet many times for it to suck up or I just pick it up by hand.

The suction is good and the cleaner is easy to empty and clean, which is an improvement on our old vacuum cleaner. However, the main head doesn't work properly as the foot operated lever to push the bristles out for a hard floor surface doesn't work properly. the bristles stay down for 10 seconds while using the machine on a hard floor then spring back up. We approached Swan for a replacement head but heard nothing. Luckily the head from our old Vacs cleaner fitted and it was easier to use this than get the whole cleaner replaced. Not impressed with their customer service!

This is a lightweight little machine with very good suction. Much better than the Beko that I bought just under 2 years ago, which just didn't life anything off the carpet. The only thing that stops me giving it 5 stars is that it's difficult to adjust the suction if you want a little less "tug". Hadn't realised just how much dust had been left in my carpets by the previous machine until I emptied this one for the first time! Easy to manoeuvre and empty.
