Enjoying this book so much!
I highly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in tangling. All the information given is explained very well and includes illustrations and text explaining. I have zero drawing experience and in two days I have been amazed and what I habe accomplished. If you are ready to begin your journey this book is an absolutely wonderful place to begin.

Amazingly expansive book!
Thoroughly enjoyable book covering everything you need to learn the Zentangle method. Covers many of the original tangles, terms, materials, reticula and fragments, preparing your tile and jumping into tangling while relieving stress. Nice to have a Kindle edition for travel. Might also buy the hardcover as there is just so much in it and it is a beautiful book full of illustrations.

No prior skill needed! So fun!
It's whimsical. It's zany. It's fun. If you want to draw or sketch but don't know where to start, this is the book for you. (There are no mistakes in Zentangle!) If you already draw or sketch, this book will enhance your imagination. Easy to follow step-by-step instructions that are illustrated perfectly. My only complaint is that it was mailed in a flimsy packaging so it arrived with the cover slightly damaged but overall still usable.

An interesting interface with time - drawing - and process!
Thorough explanations and beautiful artwork - as would be expected from the founders of Zentangle. The exercises are wonderful The encouragement is consistent. The progress from basic to more complex is gradual. The trick is to keep from reading and saying, "yeah, got that" and rushing onward through the material. The principles behind the doing takes time to absorb and must be applied to the 'doing' part over and over. Practicing the strokes and allowing yourself time for muscle memory (like scales on the piano). I am fascinated by the slow, one-stroke-at-a-time philosophy -- a wholly different approach from representational drawing. I find not focusing on the outcome but letting yourself be immersed 'in the moment' in the process is easier to read about than to do. A challenge and a perfect antidote for someone who feels they are always wrestling with 'time' in one way or another. A rush to mastery is not what this is about An excellent Zentangle primer!!

Best book for Zen Tanglers
Why not learn from the source? This is written by the husband and wife team that put zentangles on the map. It is very logical, and brings you through lessons that will help you really improve your work. Highly recommended for all.

So nice
Sorry for the delayed review. This book is meant to be given to friends from other countries, and she cannot buy it in her country, so I bought it as a gift for her. I really like the book after receiving it.
