I bought this to hold my Supply safety razor and for lathering up shaving cream. As you can see in the photo, the razor fits perfectly.The weight of the stand prevents any tipping, and the stainless steel is easy to clean. I haven't had any problems with the brush shedding, and it creates a great, soft lather.Some reviews complained about the size of the bowl being too small. I think it's perfect, however. You only need a dab of shaving cream, so I don't know why you'd want something bigger. There's plenty of space to rapidly swirl the brush around to create the lather. It also fits easily in your hand.This is just as good of quality as name-brand versions for a fraction of the price. Tremendous value!

This guy works great, and looks nice on the counter. I like the brush, it makes a nice lather and feels good on the skin. I hear badgers are mean critters but they have never done anything to me personally, so I prefer to leave them fur-on. The synthetic bristle is excellent to this end.This product and a good shaving soap is more attractive on the counter and more economical to buy than shaving cream in a can, so I am happy I made this shift. The quality of the shave seems about the same, if not better, and it takes perhaps 20 extra seconds to whip up a lather. I enjoy the sensation of applying it with a brush. Plus there are no more steel and plastic cans to discard.Much like safety razors, I think the brush and soap is one of those traditional items that is actually superior in many ways to the disposable modern conveniences that replaced them. I grew up on disposable Gillette product and discovered more traditional shaving methods in my late 30's, but I am happy I made the switch.

For my next foray into more traditional shaving tools (I was already using a double-edge safety razor) I looked through a lot of different stands and chose this set because it was already well reviewed, and included a brush and bowl. It's well made, the bowl is a nice size that's easy to hold and use, and the stand holds the brush well. The brush bristles are supposedly synthetic, and since it's the first time I've used one I can't compare it natural badger bristles, but it works well enough with the cream I'm using.

The stand looks nice and the razor fits well in the holder.

Just getting into wet shaving . This brush and stand are perfect for just starting out . Just like everything, I'm sure there are more expensive sets but this works for me. Heavy duty stand. Not too heavy . Holds my rockwell 6c just fine

Ordered for my dad, last year, actually. He LOVED it! Bristles are soft and brush is easy to rinse and get clean. The bowl is a perfect size, the entire little unit has some weight to it, so it’s sturdy when not in use. Doesn’t take up a lot of space. Have ordered two more for gifts. Recommend.

I was very pleased with this product right out of the box! It has a quality feel to both the brush and shave stand. The brush looks exactly as advertised and has a good amount of firmness to it. I also purchased the Van Der Hagen hypoallergenic soap which fits perfectly into the bowl provided with the shave stand. Plus it looks really classy on the countertop next to the sink!

Nice and solid, stays in place and does the trick

I've always read that boar or badger bristle brushes are best, and so I've used them, but this synthetic bristle brush is actually better in my opinion! The bristles are nicely stiff, but not TOO stiff, and they hold shaving cream really well, as well as lathering up my shaving cream nicely- the stand is exactly what I needed, because I used to just leave my safety razor in my shaving mug for storage, but this is a better solution, letting the razor stay clean and dry, and letting your brush dry effectively as well- I've been using an already prepared shaving lotion, so I haven't used the bowl yet, but I like the size. It's small enough to be portable and not take up a ton of counter space, but big enough to lather up your cream in- everything looks and feels well made, and looks nice on my vanityCons:- none!

3 months in …. Stand is solid and well made, fits Merkur 34C well. Brush is entry level quality, good for those starting out. Would recommend.
