Very good design for all day use
This product is simple, strong, comfortable and easy to attach. The materials used such as the attachment strap and neoprene are first rate. For a person who puts this on and leaves it there all day, it hits all the marks. But for me, I use my camera during bicycle rides and hiking trips. During use, I leave my Sony RX100 mostly in a case attached to my belt and need to take it out randomly and sometimes quickly during my adventures. For this application, the strap loop which is snug and (5/8") wide can be difficult to put your hand through. Leading to frustrations - and non use which is dangerous. The strap is also bulky hanging outside the small zip up case I use for my camera. So, I put a quick release buckle on the strap and use it when I have the camera out more frequently - like Christmas morning or family party. For me, every tool has its best application.

Good strap for full day use but neoprene has some drawbacks
I bought this strap to "test" it against a leather wrist strap (much more costly) that I have on a point and shoot (DMC LX5). I installed this neoprene one on a DMC LX7. I have used it in four seasons, all kinds of weather, and in a number of different countries. My preference is for an unobtrusive strap and camera as possible, and so I purchased a black version of the OP/TECH strap. The strap did not seem to draw any unwanted attention when it was in use around my wrist and attached to my camera. The quality of the strap is very high. The neoprene is not too thick and is soft and pliable enough to be easy to slip a hand through, even with a glove on. The strap can be disconnected from the camera using a small click lock and I was initially concerned about the possibility of the click lock becoming inadvertently disengaged, leaving the camera to free fall at some inopportune moment. I have not had any such experience in the past several months of use. In fact I have not used the disconnect feature very much, but it's there if you need it. I suppose the safest way to use this strap is to fit it onto your wrist, without the camera attached, and then once it is on your wrist and adjusted, attach the camera. This can be a bit tricky to do using just one hand. The lanyard that loops through the camera lug is quite strong and has not shown any signs of wear or fraying after several months of use.The strap is very soft and comfortable on the wrist. I typically have my camera cupped in my hand, palm facing backward, when walking in cities and towns, with the camera not very visible to someone approaching me from the front or side. In this mode, the strap can be around my wrist for hours at a time. As such, when the weather is warm, the neoprene can be a bit warm around the wrist if you have the strap semi-snugged (there's an adjustable plastic slider that can snug the strap around your wrist to prevent it from slipping off). My leather strap is much narrower, so not as much of a heat band, and as leather will absorb an perspiration, can feel more comfortable in similar circumstances. I have not noticed any odor from the neoprene, even when sweaty, and if there was, it is easy enough to soap up and rinse off as the neoprene itself does not absorb any water. The neoprene is more pliable than my leather strap is, even thought I have used the leather strap much more, prior to getting this neoprene one, so you might think that it would have softened up over time and use, which it has compared to when it was new, but it is still not as soft as the neoprene strap. Each has advantages and disadvantages - minor at that. I would certainly purchase another one of these straps for use with a point and shoot.

This "may" be what you want.
My wife wanted a handstrap. The one she has for here Panasonic TS-5 is perfect. But the one that came with the camera package had NO slip adjustment. It was just a very large loop - with the attaching part. Therefore it really offered no security.I picked this one because it was about the only thing I could find with a sliding "slip" lock to make it tight around your wrist. I could find nothing like the Panasonic one which has held up for 6 years beautifully. So, this works - looks like it will last.Issues:1. The strap is "stretchy" sort of rubbery - which is fine - but it is wide - and my wife would prefer just a "thick cord" like the Panasonic.2. It is too bulky to get in the Sony case we ordered. So we have to remove the strap (no difficult with the release) and stoy it in a pocket separately. She is considering swapping with the Panasonic one.

Great Strap
Great little strap. It's soft and comfortable and feels very strong. The only improvement I'd make would be a slightly larger quick release clip that's easier to unclip with one hand. This one requires you to get the tips of your fingers on the little prongs and to squeeze very tightly to release. Not too hard to do with two hands, but since you've typically got a camera strapped to the wrist wearing the strap, it can be a bit tough to use both hands at the same time.BUT, these are the same little clips I already have mounted to my camera, which allows me to interchange straps and unclip from a neck strap in order to just use the wrist strap, etc. so I do like that the clips are compatible with other OP/Tech quick disconnect clips. In the end, I rarely switch back and forth between strap setups so I prefer that these little clips are small, unobtrusive, and slightly difficult to unclip because I never fear that my camera will disconnect without a concentrated effort.By the way, two small quick disconnects can fit into a single eyelet on an OM-D E-M10 body without using the stock key ring strap mounts. I feel this is a smoother surface for those little 1.5mm cords to be rotating against all the time.

Excellent quality washable wrist strap, very secure quick-release, good price.
I needed a new wrist strap for my Nikon J2 compact camera, which is quite heavy when fitted with a telephoto zooms lens. Most of the straps I looked at were too long (they were meant for over-the-shoulder use) but this one is the perfect size for the wrist. I was also very worried about the quick release, quick suggested “easy” – could this mean it could release unexpectedly and let my camera drop? But no, this quick release is really well designed. It is practically impossible to release it accidentally. It is quick but it needs carefully applied pressure at the right points to release it. So my expensive Nikon camera is safe! And it’s very easy to remove the strap when needed.Secondly the strap that goes around the wrist is excellent. It can be adjusted to gently tighten around the wrist and it can be washed. If it gets wrinkled, the instructions say just leave it the sun and they will disappear. And the small loops that go through the camera fixings are just perfect. Very satisfied and feel confident that my camera is safe.

Its a security strap
I like these straps. I've now got two of these, both in use on Olympus cameras (an E-M5 & E-M10).I ONLY use them as security straps when holding my camera, just in case the camera slips from my grip or is accidentally knocked from my hand (e.g. by children, dogs, or aardvarks).I NEVER walk around with my camera dangling from the strap like some 1970s tourist with an instamatic.I NEVER undo the plastic clip. When I'm not taking photos, I clip my camera to my body strap with a small carabiner via the other camera lug, leaving this strap to dangle..

Easy to fit and comfortable
I bought this strap for my Sony RX100 MKVI as I'm going to a city renowned for its pickpocketing/snatching. What I like about this strap is that unlike others I've tried the section that attaches to the camera is sensibly sized so you can actually get it through the strap eyelet on the camera. The strap itself is made from a neoprene type material and is wide plus comfortable to hold. The security band on the strap is adequate although my confidence would be increased if it were a bit more robust feeling, however, just the appearance of this strap should be a deterrent and cause a thief to look for easier pickings. Overall, a good product.

Nice idea and exactly what I wanted, but neoprene strap looks tatty after short period of time
Purchased this as when moving to a mirrorless camera I wanted to take advantage of the smaller, lighter camera and not have it round my neck.It is lightweight and comfortable, with the neoprene being soft so it isn't uncomfortable if it stretches, pulls or twists in your hand. Also the strap is detachable which is handy if you don't want it dangling around.I was initially concerned about the strength, but have tested it and it copes well with my panasonic gx1 and 14-140mm lens at approx 800g - I have 'dropped' it (in a safe environment!) with the strap attached and - while being a bit bouncy - I don't think that it will break. However the neoprene has its drawbacks;- after just one week of heavy use the neoprene is fraying and looking tatty; I don't doubt it's strength or durability but it doesn't look as smart as it did- in the warm weather, the strap makes your wrist a bit sweaty and uncomfortable because the neoprene is fairly warm and waterproofOverall pleased with it, it does its job, but it isn't perfect

Excellent, very comfortable.
I bought this along with the Op/Tech 6903021 Mini Loop Strap with Quick Disconnect - Navy to use with my Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX20V Super-Advanced High Zoom Camera (18.2MP, 20x Optical Zoom) 3 inch LCD and am very pleased with it. It feels much more comfortable than the original Sony strap. My camera is very heavy for a compact and the extra width and padding of this strap really make a difference in prolonged use. The fact that it has a band to adjust around your wrist also makes it feel more secure and less likely to slip off. Unfortunately the neck strap I bought to go with this isn't as good. The only small niggle is that it can be a bit fiddly to get the loop through the mounting point on the camera and you may need a small flat head type screwdriver or tweezers to pull it through.
