Exactly What I Needed
Bought it to replace a battery in a 12 year old APC XS 1300. After twelve years of working flawlessly the old battery apparently had had it.Installation on new battery backups are pretty straight forward. Unplug the backup from the wall and unplug the backup from anything connected to it. On the bottom there is a door with two tabs that when pressed allow you to slide open the door.Once opened you peel up two sticker tabs on the back of the battery that allow you to grab them and pull the old battery out. Once out you just drop the new battery in and off you go.One critical item to note however, is that it is possible to install the battery backwards, which I did do. So be sure to look at the battery first and install it in the orientation indicated. Its not a big deal if you install it backwards, nothing happens. It just doesn't work, which can be frustrating until you figure that user error is the cause of your frustration several days later...
