GM Retainer - 13405675

If you're on this product page, you already know this part is the manufacturer-recommended fix for the famous GM lateral seat movement/click. I can't say for sure that this plastic piece is helping hold the seat in place, but I used it in combination with the washer method to cover all my bases. I'd be willing to bet that the washers on the T30 torx bolt on the other side are a much more secure "fix" to hold the seat. This design flaw should have been blatantly obvious from the start, as you can clearly see space on both sides of the bolt between the motor bracket.This piece definitely takes some elbow grease to get it in properly. Make sure both sides of this clip are lined up and set in place, otherwise you haven't accomplished anything. To get the most clearance, move the seat as far back and up as you can.

This little piece of plastic is a life saver. If your tahoe etc driver seat feels like it's moving a tiny bit and making a clunk noise... it is. This stops it. Get it and put it on. It takes 5 minutes. Make sure you have a nice large heavy duty zip tie on hand to complete installation.
