Serious review of the buckmark Holographic Sight
Browning Buckmark Holographic Sight I just recently purchased this sight and installed it myself on my Browning Buckmark LR .22 pistol. I purchased a metallic weaver-compatible rail mount for the sight. I went to the range and locked and loaded and fired about 10 rounds of quality brand ammo to sight it in. After the 10th round, I had the sight shooting perfect bullseyes at 50'. I LOVE the sight. Right out of the package, for $50-60, I think this sight is well built, and does a fantastic job. The sight itself, I thought, is very well constructed. It's all metallic, the sight lens has a rubber dust cover cap that protects the sight when not in use, and I have already put about 500 rounds down range and it fires right on every time. Haven't changed the battery yet. In brighter conditions, I use about 4 or 5 on the light setting, and I can see the target fine. When dusk starts coming around, I found it easier to switch to the plain red dot sight, and lower the brightness setting to about 1 or 2. When it starts getting a little dark on the range, if the sight is too bright, I can actually see double sights in the lens. But in bright light, I only see one, and it works fantastic. The only adjustment I have had to do is tighten the screws on the mounting bracket, until I find some small screw lock-tite. I have seen a couple not so good reviews on this sight, and all I have to say is this - They must have gotten a faulty sight possibly, because mine was perfect. I am a stickler for quality and detail, and in my honest opinion, I feel like I have a much more expensive holographic sight for this gun than what I paid for it. WELL worth the 50-60 bucks. My only complaint is that I was pretty sure the advertisement for the sight said it came with the allen wrench to mount the sight, but there was no allen wrench in the package. But as far as I was concerned, that was a minor technicality. This sight so far has WAY exceeded my expectations. It doesn't add too much weight to the gun, although it does add some. But very comfortable to shoot, and again, worth the purchase. Makes shooting my .22 so much fun! Thanks for a fantastic and *affordable* product!!!

This Sight Works Great! Why Pay More?
I mounted this sight on my Buckmark using the Weigand Weaver style scope mount and it couldn't have been any easier. After zeroing it in, I immediately began shooting ten shot groups at 25 yards that I could cover with my thumb! This thing is fantastic! I'll admit that after reading some of the poor reviews this item has received on this site, I was a bit skeptical about how well such an inexpensive sight would perform. All I can say is that it works better than I had hoped. Is it SWAT, Delta, or Navy SEAL quality? Nope. But for the casual shooter/plinker who wants to see an immediate improvement in their group sizes, you could probably spend more and do worse than this sight. I will update this review if I encounter any problems down the road. But right now I'm as happy as a clam!(Six Weeks and 2,000 Rounds Later...)I've been using this sight for 6 weeks now and have not had any problems. Even after I remove the sight to clean the pistol and remount it, it holds zero. Switching through the different choices of reticles doesn't affect zero either. No problems with mounting screws coming loose, and I'm still on the original battery that was included. Also, don't underestimate the coolness factor. I have had at least a half dozen people approach me at the gun range to ask about what type of sight I'm using. I've gone through 4 bricks of 500 round .22lr since installing this sight and the only problem I've encountered is trying to find more ammo at a decent price.

Buckmark Sight is keeper
I received the Buck Mark Reflex scope and was worried because it looked fragile. Mounted it to the gun and proceeded to the range. At 25 yards none of the first five shot rounds were any ware to be seen. I moved to 10 yards and found that the shots were so low that they were just on the cardboard, about 10 inches below the target. . Windage was off by about two inches. Firing three shot groups I moved it up to the bulls-eyeI then moved back to 25 yds. As to be expected it was now close to six inches high as the bullet is still rising from 10 yds to 25 yds. Again three shot groups moved it down to the bulls-eye. All done with about 20 rds. At 25 yds the 3 MOA is not a problem, lets move on to 50 yds.At 50 yds the 3 MOA is now a problem as it is larger than the target (1 inch diamond). I also found that at the shorter distance the Circle-Dot Reticle was the best to use. At this distance the only usable reticle was the Dot Reticle. As visibility is limited with the large 3 MOA it still shot a decent pattern just a tad high, pattern was 3.3 inch group about one inch high and to the left.Referance: .22 LR, 40 gr lead, by Hansen Cartridge. Shot out doors in bright sun light with intensity set at max at 11. Target is paper with 5 - 1 inch diamonds with 1 inch grid.Comments: The reflex sight seems to be reliable and settable. I dislike the allen wrench method of setting the Elevation and Windage. My older Aimpoint has a polarizing filter that can be used in bright sun light to enhance the red dot. Bright sun light is not disaster but as the battery ages I will not be able to get the dot bright enough. If you order one of the red dot sights don’t forget to also order a weaver sight base. The reflex only will mount on the machined sight base. Do not interchange the front and rear screws. A little Blue or Purple loctite will keep the rear screw from working loose while firing. Always carry an allen wrench with you to tighten the rear screw. I check after every 60 to 100 rounds. Side note, if the sight is zeroed at 50 yds it also zero at about 20 yds and will be a little high at 25 yds.
