i relate to fragrance accordingly. it isn't the singular fragrance that appeals to me, but the specific memory it evokes. every time i smell this i am carried back to the honky tonks of austin texas, crowded with cowboy boots and loud pedal steels, and his hand around my waist guiding me to a texas two step dance. where the bands play doug sahm and buck owens covers on any given night. i don't speak to him anymore, but this is my way of going back in time, i guess.alright...the product itself is high quality. he used to spray it once on each wrist and twice on his collar and that would last all night. all the other girls seem to like it too. that might have been part of the problem. ha.it's a very unique smell that is pretty memorable - has the typical soapy clean note you usually find in men's cologne, but then there's also this sweetness ....this underlying almost flowery sweetness to it...that you can only detect when you get real close.well i ordered a bottle just in case i miss him.

With the truly lovely opening of papyrus and Darjeeling tea I too was enticed by this simple fresh but none the less fascinating fragrance. It lead me on into the evening to discover the mysterious ambers at it core and the sharp surprise of the southern Italian bergamot. Just as the evening view of Rome from the Tinita dei Monti church above the Spanish Steps at the end of your passagatta is enchanting, so too is this fragrance.Lasts 8 to 10 hours on my skin - the last three or so it is very close and intimate to the flesh. I would first like to state I have purchased MANY scents from Amazon (direct from Amazon with 1 exception/purchase)For the most part 80% of the time I was satisfied and the fragrances were authentic which leaves the remaining 20% to be unauthentic/knock offs!Note: Amazon ships fragrances from different parts of the country. Some come from Indiana some come from NY others come from Florida etc...I am guessing they buy there stock from different distributors and in my experience with Amazon I have had nothing but good experiences when the fragrances come from NYC, but this particular one was shipped out of Indiana. I am happy to say the one I received is 100% authentic.I was very skeptical due to its low sale price (at the time $18.99 for prime members),but I took a shot and as I stated I am happy to say MINE was authentic.Now on to the review of the scent it self.MATURE SCENT (not for teens) very masculine!Its nothing that will knock your socks off its not something women are going to go crazy for (maybe some) ,but its a safe **mature** scent.When I smell this I envision someone wearing a suit at a board meeting or a high level stock broker or hedge fund manager.A "Presidential" fragrance of authority and wisdom and power. This fragrance is not a "I am here" or arrived scent. Its more like a "my watch costs more than your car" kind of scent. Its the kind of scent if a man is wearing it and you like the smell youre afraid to ask him what it is he is wearing.It is a "green scent" like moss or a black tea with hints of a woody type of scent with spice (like black pepper) and some "citrus" like a bergamot.In one word sophisticated!IT HAS GREAT LONGEVITY. Like.... Next day you can smell it or "i just washed my body with a brillo pad and 2 soap bars" and I can still smell it after a shower (I am being sarcastic but you can smell it after a shower)IN THAT aspect its amazing. Thats something I look for in ALL fragrances and this one delivers.I do not smell much if any alcohol even though on the box it says 78% alcohol.Its projection is moderate it does not fill a room,but it lets others be aware of your presence.Its not an everyday fragrance its not "lets go to the club" scent.Its an "a la carte" French white table clothed dinner scent with important people fragrance.The kind of scent that will not be "upset" by a cigar or cigarette.My only suggestion (if you have gotten an authentic bottle) is DO NOT OVER DO THIS ONE! 4 to 5 sprays and thats IT!I know ( as i read some reviews) that some people had gotten "knock offs" and I am happy that I wasnt one of those people because this was a blind buy and its a positive added scent to my ever growing collection and I know the feeling and disappointment when you get a fake/knock off or watered down tampered with fragrance (it sucks)5 Stars for longevity (maybe 6 stars)3.5 Stars for scent (even at 3.5 its still a nice scent)4 Stars for originality

Message to all the Rocket Scientists who sware this is fake: This cologne is designed to be light, meaning this cologne will not hijack a room full of nostrils as soon as you enter wearing this... This is what I call a "close contact" cologne, meaning that in order for someone else to smell this on you she ... or He (if thats your thing) must be in your personal space. Yes you will find it hard to detect it yourself after a few hours but it's there... I put on a shirt and sprayed this cologne 3 times on my neck, of course the shirt caught the overspray... after a few hours I could no longer smell myself... took the shirt off that night, threw it on a chair... woke up the next morning and picked up the shirt and immediately could detect the cologne... other things to consider before you call cologne a fake... is your skin dry? are you healthy? are you fat? obese? COLOGNE is DESIGNED for PEOPLE who are HEALTHY, HYDRATED, in SHAPE, etc... if your body & health are out of line then your cologne will be out of line... OFF

I've owned this cologne before but I purchased it from a different place and it was amazing. Got it here from Amazon and it smells like the correct cologne yet the smell does not last long at all.

I bought this for my son for Christmas not knowing what it smelled like. I'm handicapped and can't get out and shop so I went on line to see what the most popular mens cologne there was and this one was at the top. I took the chance and it paid off. My son was so happy with it, I haven't heard him rave so much over a single product ever. He said it is his all time favorite cologne and he'll continue buying it when he runs out.
