Long Post Ear Piercing System Earrings Silver 5mm Maxi Clear CZ"Studex System 75" Hypoallergenic

Purchased these earrings to manually re-pierce one of my daughter’s earlobes and create a new piercing on the other. We let one close immediately after an initial piercing due to poor placement. I also bought the Studex ear piercing kit with ‘gun’, in case I wasn’t comfortable using the plastic spring loaded piercing tool that these earrings come in. I was able to practice with one of the cartridges, which was simple to use. We numbed her earlobe with ice, cleaned with alcohol, cleaned the earring post with alcohol, marked her ear, made sure I had the cartridge level, then squeezed firmly. The earring was sharp, so she just felt a little pinch. Easy!!The plastic cartridge works like a piercing gun, attaching the earring back to the earring post when you squeeze it. In other reviews people stated the earring back is difficult to remove from the cartridge. Because of those reviews, I was careful to gently pull straight down and the back came out of the cartridge easily and did not pull on the ear. I’m so glad I had the confidence to do this myself! I will be returning the other piercing kit, as I didn’t open or need it! She’s very excited, since she was finally ready to try again. Very happy with this product.

I’ve had pierced ears for years and sometimes one of the piercings will close up in the back if I don’t wear earrings for a few months. I needed to get a pair of earrings that I could use to reopen the hole and then wear as studs for a few weeks. I liked that these have long posts with the sharper end (they even come with a piercing tool if you’re piercing your ear for the first time), and I also wanted a metal that was stainless steel since my ears have developed a sensitivity/allergic reaction to a lot of the metals in cheaper earrings. These are made of medical-grade stainless steel. Happy to report that I was able to easily use these to reopen the piercing and I’ve had 0 reactivity to the metal. They also look pretty, which is a nice bonus. Definitely recommend if you need a pair of studs and have sensitive ears!

I used them to pierce my ears and they went in smoothly and were comfortable to wear during the healing process. Even after removing them the first time I will put them in and wear them around because they are cute.

I purchased these to reopen my holes in my ears (and nose), but didn’t need for nose… I am in process of using these to reopen my holes in my ears tho. And I’ll be getting the LONG POST pair to pierce my ears farther up my ear.These earrings are beautiful

Got the 5mm piercing studs, and they were great! Came in sterile packaging, super easy to do myself, and not painful at all - just a little pinch. The piercing "gun" device for these is easy to squeeze with two fingers, making it simple to use yourself. It also seems of good enough quality that you could reuse it with the same earrings for multiple piercings (after thoroughly cleaning the gun and sterilizing the earrings, of course). The studs are beautiful and sparkly, and cast a lot of rainbow shimmer, like a good diamond - my picture makes them look flat and white, but they're not! They're advertised as stainless steel, and so far my ears have been fine, with no reaction. If that changes I will update this review. Definitely recommend! A much more economic option than paying $50+ to have it done at Claire's, or even more at a piercing shop. I used them for my second earlobe piercing, and can't wait for these to heal a little so I can get the 3mm studs for a third!

I was worried my re-piercing would come out crooked. The old holes were completely sealed so there was some scar tissue I'd need to punch through. My assistant was unhelpful so I did it myself. They came out perfect. The posts were comfortable to wear until I could switch back to hoops. Super product, much cheaper than a professional.

One of the pictures depicted an alcohol wipe, there was no alcohol wipe or any instructions included even though others have referred to instructions in their posts. Going by Dr. Google and Amazon reviews, found both the instructions (Amazon reviews, thanks all) and proper cleaning and care of a piercing (Google but using web sites from medically based sites - PS surprised that soap and water is the way to go AFTER it is inserted not alcohol or hydrogen peroxide - but use an antiseptic prior to piercing...not a disinfectant...one is for skin the other for inanimate objects if you are curious) since it has been decades since I last pierced my ears. A very long time ago one of my ears was torn and so earrings in that ear hang much lower than the other. To fix the original hole requires a procedure that you can google, so not an option and I've tempted to try clip on earrings. Bottom line, it will not just grow back. I pierced only the one ear that was too low and now have earrings that are symmetrical, and the earrings themselves do look nice. I used a Sharpie to find the spot that was symmetrical to the other ear as using a ruler was not working quite right and the ink comes right off with an alcohol wipe so multiple tries resulted in just the right spot. I wanted to leave enough tissue between the new hole and the previous one. If the item included instructions, either an alcohol or chlorahexodine wipe to prepare the skin for piercing, and how to care post piercing I would have rated this a 5.
