What a recommended amp to push 2 of these p2 12 4ohm dvc?

I do t recommend the Dvc 4 ohm. Do the dual 2 ohm instead so you can wire to 2 ohm. Get the Rockford 1200.1 and run it on 2 ohms 880 rms

I have the Rockford Foagate R2- 750 watt with this sub in a ported box and it is a little too much power but sounds greate I believe the Rockford Foagate 500 watt would be perfect for this sub in my opinion but I like being able to turn it up a little more and not worrying about blowing my amp I probably should have bought the p3 instead but it works fine for right now

Yes because boss amps rms not CEA certified.that amp might push 800watts.or less.

would my p400x1 amp make this subs hit hard

Yes! If you are running a 4 ohm sub, wire it down to 2 ohms. That amp is not 1 ohm stable. I ran mine on the p500 x 1 bd, wired to 1 ohm and it took close to 750 watts with setting the gains right.
