LaSalle Bristol20351207 Utopia Chrome Finish 4" Plastic Tub and Shower Diverter with Clear Handles

After about 6 months the covers with the "H" for hot and "C" for cold broke off. I can't even figure out how on earth that happened. I live alone so there are no kids to mess with them. Went to wash my face one day and the H fell right off and would not go back on (it was cracked). Several weeks late, same with the C. The faucet, itself, is nice. I love the "chrome" finish.

First let me say that you should not purchase this faucet unless you like wasting water. When turning the water on and pulling the nob up to engage the shower, the shower will not stay on unless the water is turned up very high. I don't like the water pressure of my shower that high because it's unnecessary and a huge waste of water. Also, unless the water pressure is high, the faucet makes a horrible, loud whistling noise. My old faucet, same model (supposedly), which I replaced because the nob broke off, did none of these things and lasted many years.I would return this, however I don't want to have to take it off, reinstall my old faucet and then have to put yet another one on. For now I use a clamp to keep the shower nob up and am putting up with the noise - which makes every shower a grueling experience. Not what I paid for. I'll probably end up giving in and replacing it with a higher quality model.
