This is a really cute bag, but I didn’t realize it doesn’t open at the top where it looks like it should. The zipper on the side is the opening. So… the bag is essentially side ways when you wear it. This means all your stuff constantly gets tossed around. I also thought that zipper was a pocket, and I really think it needs another pocket.

I really like this purse since my favorite purses are backpack style and this one is really cute. It holds surprisingly a lot for its size (checkbook wallet, 2 makeup cases, sunglasses in case, phone, can of soda, and more. The front pocket is good and deep with a magnetic button that holds tight. I can put my phone and stylus and pen and keys in it. The color is a rich beautiful tan to burnt tan leather that looks more expensive. The zipper on the back (the only way to open the bag) is a sturdy one.I've had this purse for 2 weeks and use it every day to go to work. The only annoying thing about it is the shoulder strap on one side tends to loosen and fall out so all of a sudden it falls off on that side. It's done it 3 times this week just walking around. The straps do not feel long enough since I'm a short small person and I'm on almost the last hole for these straps.Anyway I'd recommend this to all my friends looking for a good small but useful backpack purse!Fast forward one year:I'm moving on to a new backpack purse/handbag. It's been a great year of using it every single day, but the color is SO faded in the front (not the back where it goes against my body) and it's like a night and day different color. Also, I cured the straps unbuckling problem by sticking mini-pins through the strap so they wouldn't slip through the buckle, which they would have done several times a day. So as much as I have enjoyed using this daily handbag, the slim profile is very nice, but it's just not as pretty with the faded color and I'm tired of the straps opening up.

I had this on my wish list for a while and finally bought it for myself for my birthday. I have a lot of bags, but they're all the Nylon kind with a lot of organizer pockets and such. I wanted something sleeker and classier. The bag is smaller than I expected, but it holds everything I typically carry around, including my iPad Mini in its Smart Case. I'm pretty tall so I have the buckles in the last holes, and I can still get my arms through the straps while I'm wearing a thick winter coat. The lack of inner pockets and zips has not been an issue. The only thing keeping me from a 5-star review is the direction of the zipper; it zips up instead of down, which makes sense except if I've got it slung over my shoulder and am trying to get stuff in and out of it at the store I have to take the whole backpack off to zip it back up. Otherwise the leather is so soft that when I pull on the zipper it just scrunches up. It's a bit of a hassle, but I suppose if it went the other way stuff would fall out if it weren't completely zipped. It would be best to have the zipper across the top even though the side zip is more secure.

It is a bit small, but I love this bag. The design is sleek and elegant. It is well made, the leather seems like good quality, and the stitching is even and strong. The color is a very dark brown, and could be mistaken for black. It seems to go well with my casual wardrobe. Most other purse/backpacks are over-designed with lots of small ugly pockets and zippers. The pocket in the front is big and deep and there is a magnetic snap to keep it closed. I can squeeze my 1st generation ipad into the pocket, but I have to remember to put a bit of cloth between the glass and the snap to keep the snap from damaging the glass. The side zipper is sturdy. The bag and pocket are lined with dark brown fabric. There are no interior pockets, so adapting to finding stuff was a challenge. I started using a purse liner inside to organize my stuff. I had to cut down what I carry in my bag, but that turned out to be a good thing. What I love most is how well it works as a backpack. My bag is with me, but out of the way. It is so light I can forget about it. The adjustable straps are not very wide, but they are fine. When carrying a conventional bag, using a single shoulder strap caused me to tense up my shoulder and neck to try to keep the strap from slipping down when I moved. Using a backpack purse is better for my shoulder and my neck. Recommended.

First, I should mention that I rarely write reviews. Yes, my bad....because I sure appreciate reading others.I gravitated to a backpack-style handbag over a decade ago and am dedicated to that design. I had one for years that I liked but it was rather bucket-shaped and I did knock into things sometimes when it was across my back. It finally needed to go so I searched carefully for new one. I bought the black version of this bag last Autumn and have enjoyed it so much I just got the tan color for summer. Here's what I like:-- there is one entry, a vertical zipper that is against your back so there are no concerns about security.-- the deep pocket on the front is useful for quick stashing and has a sturdy snap-- it lays flat against my back so I don't bump things anymore when turning around in a shop, etc. ;o)-- the straps have easy adjustability-- the colors are true to the images, leather feels nice, price is fair and Irv's ships quickly.WHAT is not to love about this bag? The only thing I can think is if you carry a lot of stuff, it may not be large enough. I don't.I carry a rectangular wallet, cosmetic bag, eyeglasses and a small zip lock bag w/gum, notepad, pens, pills, etc. There's still enough room for a few more things. Thrilled with this thing!
