this is a lightweight moisturizer with spf that works well if you’re planning to go more barefaced or don’t use too much make up in general. i probably won’t use this on days where i put on more make up but it’ll be convenient for days when i don’t plan to go out much or plan to do more active stuff like hiking or a day at the beach (non-tropical). it probably will be a little too light for those with really dry skin so i would recommend using a moisturizer before applying this. i don’t have super dry skin but sunscreens tend to give me dryness so i always apply a moisturizer before a product like this anyway and recommend you do the same. it’s an average product to me and it’s not great but not bad. i like it enough to use the rest but i’m not sure if i’d get it again. ymmv tho since everyone’s skin and needs and environment are different.

The Round Barn Apothecary Luminous Moisturizer did not work for hydration for my face. I am a baby boomer and have an aging face and slow cell turnover. I take pretty good care of my skin. This lotion just did not work for me. I know that it has great ingredients which include organic aloe vera, jojoba seed oil, safflower oil, prickly pear juice, shea butter and so much more.

This Round Barn Apothecary moisturizer comes in a clear glass bottle with a pump which make application easy. The cream is medium weight with a nice floral scent. It has a white cast when you apply it and it is a bit oily. It takes a while to absorbs. I had an allergic reaction when using this cream. My skin felt like it was sunburned. I had to to try to wash it off but the burning sensation lasted for a while. I do not have sensitive skin so this was a surprise. The Round Barn Apothecary Luminous Moisturizer comes in a bottle with a convenient pump dispenser. It's a white lotion that contains titanium dioxide and zinc oxide for sun protection. My wife accidentally put way to much on and could not get it to absorb. It gave her a pale cast that looked like an SPF zinc product had been applied. She did not like how it felt on her skin and ended up wiping it off telling me she wouldn't use it again. I was more judicious and used just a small amount that I was able to massage in without white residue. For me, it soaked in and gave me a healthy sheen but it took some effort. Bottom line, I think there is too much sunscreen in this product.I like the fragrance. It smells floral and natural. A little goes a long way and perhaps it's a good product to have on hand before going out in the summer sun. This is not a light cream. I would say it's mid-weight as it took me a while to massage it in. Afterwards, it feels like I have moisturizer on, which I'm not thrilled about especially during the hot summer months. I like my lotions to have a more subtle feel on my skin.Overall, I like this cream okay but I don't love it. I appreciate that it's made in small batches and that it's 91% organic. This Luminous Moisturizer is my first experience with the Round Barn Apothecary brand. I, above all else, look for clean ingredients when purchasing makeup and skincare. It sits very well under makeup. This moisturizer has a lovely fresh and subtle scent - inoffensive and very natural smelling.I'm really happy with this Luminous Moisturizer from Round Barn Apothecary and highly recommend it!

This is a nice moisturizer for the day. At night, I would want a more substantial moisturizer that retains moisture well. This has a nice, light scent to it and it can be used for day or night moisturizing,

It's also relatively inexpensive, as far as non-drugstore moisturizers go, for a relatively generous amount (2 oz). The main non-SPF ingredient is aloe, and there's a very light scent that backs that up. It's supposed to be both skin soothing, to even complexions, and naturally brightening.Liked this a lot for summer use, when I don't need as heavy a moisturizer for my combination skin. Had tried a previous Round Barn product (one of the masks) and wasn't overly impressed, but this one won me over.
