I use this belt as an every day belt for my cc holster. It fits nicely and does not slip loose. It is easy to close and easily fits in the belt loops of my jeans.

Great thick belt. Ideal for heavy duty needs such as carrying a sidearm with enough strength to keep even a heavy weapon from flexing and flopping. Yet it has enough flexibility to allow you to bend over without feeling like your gut is pinched.I ran into a combination of errors with sizing. Somehow I ordered a XL by error. Thanks to my prime membership no big deal. Then I carefully studied the size chart the manufacturer provided. The measurements given and compared to another single thick web belt I have convinced me to order the medium. The length was short. I could have lived with it but even without a holster the belt would not make it to the belt loop to keep the excess from flopping around. Last shot, the large. PERFECT! My Jean size is 36.The nice thing was that the seller emailed me offering assistance. They comment that they are a new start-up family business and of course I support that 100%.My advice on sizing is go with your gut (pun intended) and order a large if you wear large shorts.If you want a sturdy belt that will hold some weight comfortably, this is it. No uncomfortable pinching. I anticipate that this will last me years. Maybe I can will it to my son.Update: I am a frequent Amazon shopper and since writing this review, and reading others on other products, I wanted to comments on comments. I received no compensation before or after my buying this belt. My review is completely honest and my own. I only felt the obligation to write a review in appreciation of the exceptional flexibility of Prime and the manufacturers emails offering assistance with my 3 attempts (with 3 possibilities) to get the correct size. No, I'm not the brightest lightbulb on the shelf.

Number one don’t bother to read BScott’s review above I doubt he’s ever carried a gun in his life, as a retired NAVY SEAL now working in the private sector I carry a gun almost every day and this belt is outstanding ! I can carry extra gear if needed. Maybe BScott can’t figure out how to put it on correctly LOL HOO YAH…..Brian

I lost a good bit of weight and I now have a 40 waist and am replacing an XL 5.11 belt with this, since my 5.11 was now too long and no longer holds in place. I bought a L, since the XL was way too long. Now the L is a little too short and I doubt it is 48, as the size chart indicates. I only carry a flashlight holster at work now, so I didn't think I'd need the extra length. I am re-ordering this same belt in XL. It is very well made and would be a good carry belt and the way the buckle functions is impressive, as it is difficult to cinch it tighter or looser once the "tail" is in the second slot, I just wish the L had been a little longer. 5.11 should be made this well as much as they cost. I am keeping the L for future weight loss use.

I've only had it a few days and so far so good.I am satisfied with the initial feel of quality, how stiff it is, and how consistently it holds it's position, which were two of my biggest concerns when buying a belt like this in the past. All my other belts get bent into a C-shape over time, because of my potbelly, and this seems like it will be less prone to that, so we shall see.2019-0607... 11 months later and i'm still satisfied with the quality and the functionality of this best. Pretty much no potbelly bowing; it's still flat and retaining it's shape. It still holds well; no adjustments needed throughout the day. It was definitely worth the money COMPARED to other belts i've tried like Dickies, Levis, and others.For comparison purposes.Reviewer is: 46" waist, currently over 300lbs, medium medium size potbelly.Of course i'll need more than a few days to see how I feel in the long run and will try to update this review in a few weeks.

Would give it 5 stars but I ordered a medium because the chart size told me to and I am a thin guy and this belt is HUGE for a medium. If it wasn't a huge hassle and time I'd trade it in for a small and I feel like I usually go with large on belt sizes.

When ordering this belt, order one size up. It runs a bit small/short.
