Pontec 40277 PondoSolar 150 Solar Power System with Water Feature Pump for Attractive Fountains

I really wanted to love this pond pump and I set it up as per instructions. When it's really bright sunshine and I point the solar panel directly to the sun it's great, but as soon as a cloud comes along it just stops. For the UK with limited sun it's not really suitable . I also found the filter gets blocked quickly and that also stops it from working. I don't think the pump in itself is to blame just the English weather. If you want a reliable working pump go for a wired to the electrics one. If you don't mind it only working on a really sunny day in direct sun then this is your pump.

Tried to make a fountain . Got it all set up and just would not work . Bright sun shining on solar panel but would just not come on... don’t know if it’s broken or what.... very dissatisfied.

Awful. Do not buy this. Pump not working after 2 weeks. Only works in bright sunlight. Waste of money.

Bought this as a gift and the recipient was very pleased with it.
