Gmorning, Gnight!: Little Pep Talks for Me & You Kindle Edition

I bought this both hard copy, and in audible. I am listening to the audible as I write this.Oh, my Gosh, Everyone. There is nothing as fabulous as listening to Lin Manuel Miranda speaking the messages. A close second is reading them from the hard copy, holding it in your hands. Wow.If you want to be uplifted, inspired, encouraged, to feel as if you are not alone and that you have someone in your corner who completely understands what your life is like, and likes you exactly as you are, get this book. I promise you that you will Love it!

I actually accidentally bought this. Apparently hit the wrong button. Oh, my, how many "mistakes" we make are just what we unknowingly needed. I effing love this, and believe me, I'm not a "self-help-affirmation-let-us-spread-cheer' person. As I'm obviously technically inept, just have to figure out to get this to play as an alarm.

I let Lin Manuel Miranda melt my heart with In The Heights ten years ago and he keeps knocking me off my feet. Even his Amex commercial made me cry. I feel so blessed to have him in our generation.... how lucky we are to be alive right now! Keep going, friend, you're doing all the things!Good for the heart, good for the soul, good for reading with the kids at night and over breakfast. I'm all about this beautiful, artistic, encouraging book.

I feel a little ashamed to be writing a product review for a book I have yet to finish. It arrived today and I have to admit I plan to only let myself read it a bit at a time, get my pep talks when I need them, and savor these sweet, thoughtful nuggets of hope/poetry/reflection like rich chocolates. These are the sorts of words I try to tell myself, so I understand the intention. They've lifted me up on good days and bad, inspired me to be patient with myself and others, inspired me to want to join Twitter, and always bring a smile. In short, we don't know you, but we love you, and we're proud of you.

I expected nothing except delightful wordplay from Lin-Manuel Miranda, but between the genuine feeling of being seen and understood that these little pep-talks give the reader and the humorous, perfectly-suited illustrations by Jonny Sun, "Gmorning, Gnight" is one of those books that I'll read over and over again. I pre-ordered and received my copy today...and I'm not ashamed or surprised that I finished it in one sitting. Please buy a copy for yourself, your friends, or whomever the heck in your life or on the subway who needs a smile. So happy.

Just got this book in the mail this afternoon and I’ve already read it through once, not that it’s a particularly long read but still. It’s fantastic! It’s just SO NICE! I was tearing up and laughing aloud in the middle of a coffee shop. Buy it for everyone you know. I can’t think of a better Christmas/Hanukkah/whatever holiday you celebrate present!

Picked this up from my mailbox and enjoyed a few peaceful moments in my car as I thumbed through several pages. Could be a very quick read, but every G’morning, G’night duo deserves time for reflective thought. LMM is more than genius (and oh how we need his tweets these days!) and JS adds some sweet illustrations. Love this book. It’s everything I knew it would be.

I don't have Twitter, so I wasn't sure what to expect. As with anything that Lin does, this book is a beautiful collection of words to read through. Whether you want to sit and was it in one go, or open it at a random page and have some words to think about throughout your day. The book is a lovely addition to my bookcase

Anything Lin Manuel Miranda touches is always going to be gold. Great addition to the book collection. For anyone needing a little push through the day should read this. Lin Manuel has a great talent in his writings.

Lin was on the Jimmy Fallon show reading a piece from the book and it gave me the warm fuzzies so was very please it was on offer. Lots of nice words to make you feel good and accompanying illustrations

This is the sweetest book I've ever read - I could open it on pretty much any page and find a heartwarming message that makes me smile. Perfect for short pick-me-ups whenever I feel like it - or simply making my happy day even happier! :)

This book is a book to be dipped in and out of when you need a boost. Each little snippet is like an affirmation for the day or night and can cheer you up and make you feel better after a bad day or boost you up to feel good about the day to come.
