Works perfectly
I was cutting a lot of 1-1/2 inch rigid foam for a pole barn, I tried various methods of cutting the foam and some worked ok, but very time consuming. I came across this blade and gave it a try. You do have to get the feel for it but once you do it’s amazing. I can rip thru an 8ft sheet in about 8 seconds, with no mess and a perfect smooth edge. This blade saved me an unmeasurable amount of time.

great product
works perfectly, if you know how to use a table saw. I would not trust the lower-star reviews as fully accurate. my company installs tons of exterior foam insulation and my carpenters are so happy with the speed at which they can now rip. Plus the amazing lack of dust created makes for a much better site cleanup. We will see how it does over time but on 1st go very impressed

Dangerous!!
I had seen the negative reviews, but I just thought they weren't using it right. The concept sounded amazing and I had a lot of 2-in white foam board to cut. So before I ordered it from Amazon, I called the company, which is now owned by Marshalltown tools, not Bullet tools, (they were bought out). I talked to someone who seemed to know what they were talking about and they indicated that bullet tools had done a bad job of giving some of the information out on the blade. The Marshalltown tools person told me that the blade had to be EXACTLY squared so it didn't bind at all and that you only wanted to cut an inch at a time - and cut it slowly and let the blade do its job. He said if I did it that way that it would work and it would be okay. So... I ordered the blade, and did exactly what he said to do: we went slow, cut only an inch at a time, made sure that it was exactly square, and that blade still wondered like wild! It bound and flexed and scared the crap out of us!! There were two of us doing this too so it wasn't one person trying to push the foam board across the table saw. After about four cuts while we tried to figure out how to make it work, (as I said we were convinced it should work properly), we gave up and decided it was too dangerous! Plus we were wasting a lot of foam board at that point because the blade would wander - literally all over. We ended up using a variable speed sawzall with a hacksaw blade, which worked pretty good! We also end up scoring and snapping pieces of foam board - and that worked well also. Long story short, DON'T USE this blade, don't make the mistake I did and think that you're smarter than the previous reviewers. You're not, it's just a bad blade and, very, very dangerous!

Good product with some problems
I too ordered the 10" blade, the usual size for my table saw, but received the 8.5" blade. This turned out to be not a problem--once Amazon refunded the $10 difference in price--indeed a good thing. This is because the maximum cutting depth for the blade is 2" of EPS foam (less than 2" for xps and other types). 8.5" is more than adequate to produce the 2" depth of cut, and the blade edge moves slower at the same rpm, generating less heat and other problems like those reported by others. Used according to instructions, the blade did an excellent job of cutting about 60 linear feet of EPS--30, 2' pieces, each one a few minutes apart, which minimized any problem from heat. But then the blade, with the same setup and careful usage--keeping the factory edge in contact with a precisely aligned fence, cutting to, but not through the top of the piece--tore a chunk out of the the 31st piece. The "teeth" of the blade had somehow deflected and were permanently, if slightly, out of alignment. While the blade still cut, it did not do so as cleanly as before, which was VERY clean. So I exchanged it.Bottom line: this is an excellent product when it is used--and working--properly. But it does seem to have issues with warping or bending, which the manufacturer would do well to resolve. In my case it's hard to say what went wrong. I am not aware of anything I did differently on the 31st cut. But that only indicates how susceptible the blade is to warping or bending. Despite this, I am glad I bought it. It did a great job. It just needs to be made more stable and durable.

Cuts cross-linked polythelene foam well
I posted a question in Q&A if the blade was able to cut cross-linked polyethylene foam, and was told probably not. i purchased anyway because could not find another 8.25" blade advertised as a foam cutter. I'm glade I purchased. It cuts 1" thick 2 lbs XLPE smoothly on my table saw. The edges were better than when using a hot wire. I'll use the blade to cut large pieces of foam and the hot wire for small sizes.

Works well for our purpos
We use it to cut fiber glass insulation on out table saw. This blade works really well and does not kick a lot of fiber glass dust out which usually is very annoying.

Very little mess and no fumes!
Cutting rigid foam with with a hot wire releases nasty fumes, cutting with a tablesaw normally very messy and looks like it snowed indoors. Put this blade on your table saw the cuts are clean and smooth and you can trim a 1/16" with only a little dust which I believe is the foil backing. What an innovative design!!
