Half of the book is good
I love the concept of the Elseworlds stories, but this collection fell short for me.Other than the Lovecraftian first story "The Reaching Hand", "World's Apart", and the 3 fantastic Metropolis/DC mashup stories, I just didn't enjoy reading this.Half of the stories are 1-4 pages long, with 9 entire pages dedicated to fake Silver-Age Elseworlds stories that would have been more fun to read than some of the real ones actually in the book."Rockumentory" was a clever idea, but once the initial value of seeing your favorite heroes mashed up with bands wears off, the story goes nowhere and doesn't feel full."Letitia Lerner" was fun and cute, but I don't really feel like it was an Elseworlds story; it should've been in a collection of children's stories. Also, I HATED "The Vigilantees in Apartment 3-B", it was dumb, nothing even happens, the girls' are complete jerks to Dick Grayson for literally no reason, and they formatted it to look like a newspaper comic strip, which made it feel like those weekly Spider-Man newspaper strips, but only had they focused purely on Peter Parker's daily commute to the Daily Bugle. But my second least favorite story would have to be the 3 parter, "JLA: Act of God." That had to be one of the most ridiculous things I've ever read. Randomly, everyone on Earth losses their natural/biological powers, leaving only the tech and skill based heroes to stand up against villains, like Toyman, who are use to building their weapons to take on Superman. In concept, it sounds interesting, but in practice, it was just a mishmash of heroes feeling sorry for themselves. Superman is the worst of them all, which pisses me off the most. He's the symbol of hope, powers or not. He doesn't just give up because he's an average human all of a sudden, he adapts and thinks to himself "What would Bruce do" then does it. He's had his powers taken away many times without becoming a mopey bitch. There are also some really dumb deaths that feel like they're there just for the shock value. To top it all off, Superman and Wonder Woman are in full costume on the final panel without any explanation of whether they'd gotten their powers back or not. And if not, then they should've had new costumes made by Batman like the rest of the de-powered heroes.

I love them and they made Nosferatu look so crappy and ...
I bought this purely for the Metropolis/Nosferatu/Blue Amazon stories.I love them and they made Nosferatu look so crappy and it's my favorite part of the story so of course it looks the worst 😆Amazon needs to fix their digital system because this isn't the first time, they screwed up Crimson Mist in the Vampire Batman collection.I mean c'mon, I'm paying for ruined art?Nooooooooo 😡

The least of the Elseworlds justice league
This is the least entry in the jl Elseworlds series. The early stories in the volume, the Elseworlds 80 page giant, metropolis, nosferatu and the blue Amazon are filled with terrible art and poor stories. Only the final story, Act of God where all the heroes with internal powers loose them is worth reading. And even the art in that is uneven. I love the Elseworlds, but this one is the least.

Some of the worst Elseworlds stories ever collected. There are so many other Elseworlds stories they could have collected instead.DC Comics Presents 80-Page Spectacular by a lot of people - 3 StarsThis was like watching Rick and Morty's Interdimensional Cable episodes. Most stories are just little snippets of a story with no beginning or end. The star of the book is Kyle Baker's "Letitia Lerner, Superman's Babysitter". This is the story that caused this book to originally get shredded because Superbaby crawls into a microwave. Also there are a bunch of hilarious fake covers by Mark Waid and Ty Templeton in "DC's Hall of Silver Age Elseworlds Pages"Superman: Metropolis by Randy Lofficier & Ted McKeever - 2 StarsSuperman merged with the movie Metropolis just because Superman lives in Metropolis. The meshing does not work at all. We're left with a lifeless story with highly stylized, terrible art.Batman: Nosferatu by Jean-Marc Lofficier & Ted McKeever - 3 StarsA meshing of The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari and Nosferatu with the Batman mythos. Set in the same Elseworld as Superman: Metropolis. This works a little better than the first story as we step away from Metropolis impressionism and into The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari's madness. Ted McKeever's highly stylized art works better with this story as well.Wonder Woman: The Blue Amazon by Jean-Marc Lofficier & Ted McKeever - 1 StarLike the first 2 volumes, Superman: Metropolis and Batman: Nosferatu, this tries to mesh Wonder Woman with another film of German Expressionism, The Blue Angel. Wonder Woman is barely in this story as it focuses on Dr. Psycho and Cheetah instead. The story is nonsense and Wonder Woman treated as a victim until the last 2 pages. This is the worst of a not very good trilogy of stories.JLA: Act of God by Doeg Moench & David Ross - 1 StarSome black light event thingy (that's never explained) hits the world and everyone's powers are wiped out. Now all that are left are tech based powers and those like Batman who are Olympic level athletes. All the rest of the heroes cry in their beer and mope for 3 issues. The book is filled with contradictions and a lack of knowledge of the DC universe.- Green Lantern's powers are based on alien technology and therefore his ring should work.- The Atom's powers are tech based (A belt containing a dwarf star)- Martian Manhunter is a martian. They all have his powers and therefore he should not be affected.- Atlanteans are an offshoot of humanity. Aquaman would be able to breathe underwater but not be able to talk to fish.
