MatrixCarbon, 4 L / 1 gal.

The shape (round) and quality of the MatrixCarbon far surpasses anything I've used in the past. I am able to set this up in a media reactor from MyReefCreastions that has a nice tumbling action without worrying that the carbon will degrade and pollute my saltwater tank. I use about a half gallon at a time and I change it out about every three to four months. My setup is a Red Sea Reefer 450. I use a Ecotech Marine Vectra M1 to feed two meadia reactors from MRC and a large UV Sterilizer.Once installed in the reactor it take about two to three gallons of tank water flush out any dust into a bucket. Couldn't be any easier. When I change out the carbon after three to four months it still has a uniform round (like a very small ball) shape and you can see that the color has gone from black to grey.I would highly recommend MatrixCarbon

The best carbon out there. Spherical beads, low dust levels, and long lifespan make this my carbon of choice.I have tried quite a few, but this is my number one.

Can't go wrong with seachem products

very expensive for the size but if there is a better carbon then I would very much like to know about it

Great Carbon for fishtank. The carbon dusts off quickly under water compared to other carbon media.

It’s the only one I use for my fish tanks. I’ve tried others and will not try anymore, this is hands down the best. You get what you pay for. It’s pricier than the rest. Quality results is what your paying for.
