Delicious!
This bread is delicious, gluten free and actually healthy for you. If you've tried enough gf breads, you will recognize this as a huge compliment! I first tried this bread from a natural food market in Tampa, Florida. It is pricey, but purchasing it through Amazon I paid within $1 of the Tampa price. I believe it's made in the Tampa, Florida area and I live in Michigan. Why all the fuss over a loaf of gf bread? Taste it and you'll know. I've been on a gf diet for so long that I don't really eat sandwiches anymore. But, I get out of bed looking forward to a slice of Base Culture's bread toasted with my breakfast!

Moldy
I have ordered this bread twice since I canโt have regular bread due to different allergies. I got it and put it in the freezer right away without eating any. The next day, I was going to make a sandwich, pulled it out of the bag and after I made my sandwich, I notice thereโs mold all over it! I didnโt take pictures of the rest of the loaf, I just threw it away. I emailed them and a week and a Half later I hadnโt gotten a response so I emailed them again! You would think a $9 loaf of bread plus $9 shipping (almost $20 for a loaf of bread is ridiculous but sometimes you just want a piece of bread!) would call for better quality and faster customer service. I will not waste my money again. EDIT: They finally responded a couple of weeks and a few emails later. I wasnโt expecting anything in return or to replace (because honestly Iโm done with this brand but I genuinely wanted to let them know so they can fix the issue) the customer service representative was not very friendly and offered me a 10% off coupon (less than $1 off)...which I had mixed feelings about and didnโt redeem them. Didn't ask how to better improve or what they could have done differently. As a company, they should focus on fixing the issue and having conversations with their customers instead of just trying to put a bandaid on it and not change anything in their process.

Quality product
We've started eating primal in our household, which includes eliminating grains. We're not big bread eaters in the first place, but we do like the convenience of having a bread-like product around the house. This product is tasty and fits well into our new way of eating. This bread has an amazingly delicious smell when toasted. In fact, I would recommend eating it toasted. Because there's no gluten to bind everything together, the bread can be a bit delicate and crumbly. Toasting or pan browning can really help with the texture, which is almost like a pound cake (not too sweet though). The loaf is small compared to a typical grocery store loaf of grain bread, but I feel like it's a quality product. If you are looking for something that tastes exactly like grain bread, you will be disappointed. But if your definition of "bread" is a bit broader, this product could fit nicely in your diet. It has a very nutty quality from the various nuts and seeds it contains. Note: This bread should be refrigerated, period, because it's not chocked full of preservatives. If you will not be eating it all for several weeks, it should be frozen. If you buy multiple loaves, the ones you are not currently eating should be frozen.

Nutty and sweet, very good with a little homemade jam or coconut oil
While I agree it is a little dry, that is easily remedied by spreading a little homemade paleo jam or coconut oil and a pinch of salt/a little honey...(depending on what you are going for) also, it's great as a side for dipping when eating some paleo chili or as a substitute for the muffin in paleo eggs benedict... really excellent! If you are paleo and have been for a while you will probably love this bread. If you are new to the lifestyle you probably won't love it. And honestly this bread is cheaper than making it yourself because the ingredients are so dang pricey anyway! (Depending on your locale, that is. Some can get high quality organic ingredients for a good price, others not so lucky)

Fine For My Specific Keto Wants
I live fairly strict Keto, so this review is written from this perspective. Taste is so personal there's not much point in discussing it, although I like the taste fine. CONs: 1. Clearly the most expensive bread you'll ever see. 2. If this is the "Large Size," anything smaller must be dollhouse-sized. 3. This is definitely NOT "sandwich" bread as the slices fall apart if you look at them crosseyed (but see below why this does not matter to me). 4. Shipping is very slow (not Amazon, the supplier). PROs: 1. This is a good product for the Keto and Paleo life. I want this for the very occasional peanut butter sandwich. I like its taste with Teddie Super Chunky All Natural Peanut Butter. I also tried Mound City Pure Peanut Butter (I grew up near Mound City), but it's too thick to spread on this bread, and anyway I much prefer the taste of the Teddie PB. Note I make single-slice PB sandwiches, and with this bread I eat it with a fork--definitely not pick-upable. 2. The loaf kept fine in the fridge for more than six weeks in a Ziplock bag. Finished the last slice this morning and it tasted the same as the first slice. Others have commented on mold, but none appeared on my loaf at any time. A lot of people will not find this product useful, but it works fine for my needs.

Excellent!!!
My package just arrived in excellent condition and I just had my first piece of this bread. It was excellent and very satisfying. The loaf of bread is heavy and dense when I picked it up. 1 slice is very filling and satisfying. It tastes like homemade bread and almost like, I said almost like, not like a piece of cake but not sweet. The bread was moist and delicious and had a nice consistency. It is not crumbly at all, it stayed completely whole and did not crumble at all when I ate it. It was moist and excellent. I have never had this type of Paleo bread before, I am so glad I ordered 2 loaves!!! I put 1 in the fridge and 1 in the freezer. I felt like I needed some bread or carbs today due to a workout and this hit the target perfectly because I don't eat any grains anymore, this was a great low carb healthy option. I loved it. This bread is fantastic. In another review I read someone stated that this bread was oily or greasy, nothing could be further from the truth, I don't know why anyone would give this bread a negative review it is so delicious and satisfying for those of us that love carbs but are not eating grains. I will continue to buy this over and over again, this bread is a homerun.

but you have to be seriously grain deprived to enjoy this bread
Sorry, but you have to be seriously grain deprived to enjoy this bread. It has the moist, dense consistency of many grain-free baked goods. The flavor is nutty and wholesome but it didn't cut it for me. I didn't even finish the loaf which was heart breaking with that price tag. I did toast some and use it more like a cracker but I won't be buying it again. I think almond flour is just too heavy for what I was hoping for.

This is the best paleo sandwich bread we have ever used
I had a year off work in 2015. I spent the year, several hour a day, in kitchen making all kinds of paleo and (paleo - ish) foods from scratch, non-gmo, pastured, mostly organic, and all from scratch. I never perfected no-grain breads to my spouses approval except for the "cornbread" (no corn or other grains at all). This is the best paleo sandwich bread we have ever used. One we purchase frozen, AmazonFresh...., we like the tiny muffins and buns, but the sandwich bread, while tasting good, is way too moist and takes some special handling to get enough moisture out to use. This bread is fine as is. Note; all the loaves I've received have been shipped with dry ice but they arrived thawed. The color is much darker than shown in picture. As others have commented it would be great to have an additional option for a loaf that has less sweetness. We are extremely pleased with this bread and I know, from lots of experience trying to make paleo bread, that this is quite an accomplishment to achieve anything near to a sandwich bread that is paleo.
