HEXBUG AquaBot Single

Fish is a cool idea and does swim around like a real fish. Fish does not have an on / off switch and after it shuts off it will not turn back on with out removing the batteries and reinstalling them. The battery cover has a gasket and no matter how hard you try to make sure its in place and sealed it never seals out the water. My kids used it 3 times and now the unit is completely water logged and will not work, everything is shorted out and damaged inside, judging by the discoloration of the parts inside fish. Have not even had item 2 weeks! Wish I could give it zero stars Do not waste your money!

This is a neat toy and fun to watch. The batteries were almost dead, and had to use the spare ones. But still reccommend.

My son loved his first fish. It lasted for over a year before kicking the bucket. As it was so awesome and affordable, I opted to buy two more. One died the first use. The other saw two uses before it decided it wouldn't stop. It swam off and on all day, despite being removed from the water. It has also kicked the bucket (presumably a dead battery). I will order a battery pack, as my son loves them so much. Not impressed by the new fish, hope it's just bad batteries?

The fish go in water in the HEXBUG Aquabot with Fishbowl and while only one fish that comes with the fishbowl is really enough, one more was nice to have. The only problem for my 4 yr old grandson is that he wanted to hold the fish (a sure sign that he's not ready for real fish!) and pulled the tails off. While I like it, I though the tails pulled off too easily with young hands unless there's a reason that I'm not aware of that it has to be that way and they now have it tucked away and no one is looking at it. If your child has an interest in fish, this is a great way to get them started and see how they react. I thought they were pretty, The main part of the fish is hard plastic and the tail is soft, very thin and very flexible so it can wiggle.

These hexbug fish are so fun. I purchased an orange one, and it looks and moves like a goldfish. Hours of fun for my grandson. I put them in the bathtub and don't need to wind them up like the other bath toys. It just keeps going for 5 minutes and if you want longer, pull it out and put back in for another 5. I will purchase more of them for sure.

this is an amazing item. My grandson loves it and he plays for hours in the sink with this fish. It works very well and it is amazing how it can swim in the water. All kids will love this. Comes in many colors also. Of course all Hexbugs are fun and this swimming one is different and fun.

Well... This thing is disappointing. Especially for the price. It doesn't dive. Swims around for a few minutes then turns off. In order to start it up again, you have to take it out of the water, let it dry, then put it back in. I wanted something with a bit more personality. Plus you'll need a totally round bowl if you want it to not get stuck in corners because of the pointy nose.

For the record, my son is a huge Hexbug fan, and the quality of the products are fine, (a long as you have a kid that won't be rough with them). The abilities of this fish are a little misleading though, nonetheless.You cannot use it in a metal bathtub, and you may not even know that your bathtub is metal until you try, as the magnetics in the fish go straight to the side of the bathtub, stick to it, and the fish just endlessly 'wags it's fin'.*** This is the 'official report' as told to me by my almost 11 year old son, lol ***You can put it in a classic, round glass bowl, and it will swim around, with a realistic movement of the part of the fish, but the swimming itself it jumpy and erratic, and it takes a while for the fish to get around the bowl, almost as if it's 'two step forward - one step backward' motion is caused by some unseen force impeding it's swimming distance potential, lol.My 3 year old loves watching it move though. Not much of a great expression of technology for the older ones, whom it's obviously meant for, however. As I stated in my title, the older style, decorative fake fish that seem to swim around in a small take of water of their own accord, actually do a better job of it.My recommendation, stick with the other Hexbug 'species' until some more improvement is done on this model.

El producto es correcto y no es cuestión de la marca sino del distribuidor.La caja venía abierta (del producto) y tanto el manual como el robot estaban fuera.Funcionó correctamente por 10 minutos y de ahí se apagó. Me hace falta probar con baterias nuevas. Parecía un producto ya usado. La caja (exterior) no venía con el tradicional sello de Amazon, estaba cerrada con cinta transparente.

I originally bought aquabot in the USA. However, wanted to buy another one as a gift. I searched on Amazon.in and I finally found it! :) It had a very descent price and glad that I got it on time. It is a nice toy for kids and really does swim for around 5 minutes like a real fish. It starts after putting it into the water. As mentioned, water gives it life :) . Thanks Amazon for making this product available.

My kid spends an hour in the bath and loves this thing - it changes speed and goes up and down and turns - it is like a real fish! Stops swimming after 5-10 minutes but as soon as you take it out of the water and put it back in it works again :) Buy some extra batteries as they die pretty quickly (the original ones did at least).

Way overpriced considering it didn’t work within 10 minutes of my son using it. He used to have one that we got from winners for $6 and it worked great. Don’t know what was wrong with this guy. Very disappointed.
