East Germany flag patch
Nicely made, although I wish it conformed to the standard size for national flag patches; this is slightly taller than standard. I also wish it had a gold border to match all the other national flag patches I have. (I collect flag patches for countries I have visited.) Hence 4 stars out of 5.On the other hand, after an intensive Internet search, Cypress Collectibles is the only source I have found for a flag patch for the (now defunct) German Democratic Republic (the former East Germany). So, kudos to Cypress for making this available.

You'll regret *not* buying these!
Whenever you're buying patches online, sight unseen, it's kind of a toss up as to what you'll receive in the mail. I have tell you when I got my France patches I was very pleased with what I got. These patches are everything as they are described in the description given, actually I think they need to be a lot more boastful about the quality of their product, but, that's just me as a consumer. The patches I bought were a decent size for the money, extremely well made (the stitching is perfect, no flaws) and as opposed to some other patches you might buy elsewhere, these patches are quite thick, which makes them more durable. The shipping was extremely cheap, and the products that this seller mails comes to you well protected in a cardboard envelope.So, if you're reticent to order patches from this seller, fear not, you'll get exactly what you want, and it will look great.

Do NOT Follow the Included Instructions.
Patches arrived and were of excellent quality. That is worth a full five stars in itself however what resulted from following incorrect instructions that were included knocked off 4 stars (all five really would have been better as somebody could easily burn their beloved garment that this patch is intended for). I tested one of the patches on an old piece following the merchants included instructions. Thankfully, the burnt mess that resulted only really cost the price of a patch. Looking up how to iron on from various sources, it seems that the instruction sheet is is wrong and will have you ironing at to high of a heat setting. My best piece of advice, stitch them on!

Great product, but description could be clearer
Arrived when promised, and was better quality than the picture suggested, so the product deserves 5 stars. However, I'm disappointed that the seller did not list all of the fabrics this can not be "ironed-on". I've ironed maybe two shirts in my life, so I really never thought about fabrics that could or couldn't be ironed. Listed in the instructions there are many fabrics such as rayon, nylon, etc. which are not recommended. This was purchased for a polyester backpack and when we tested it on an old polyester jacket first, the iron ruined the jacket. We had this easily sewn onto the item it was purchased for, but knowing all of the fabrics that it shouldn't be used on at the time of purchase would have been helpful.

Not what I expected
I love my flag and was happy to have this option. But the flag fell flat. It’s not vibrant and feels hard….not pliable at all. I’ve been trying to think about how to soften it up before I iron it on.

Nice Little Flag Patch
Dimensions are exactly as described (1.75 in. tall x 3.5 in. long) and the stitching is pretty much perfect. The ornamental pattern on the left column of the flag is alright, but it could be better, seeing that the actual flag's pattern of red weaving covers the entire white area. So, the picture is essentially what you get. Other than that, the proportions are correct and the glue backing looks fine, although I haven't tried applying it to an article of clothing yet. The shipping time was lightning fast - came in maybe 3 days.

Repect you Mother(land)
Absolutely love this patch; irons on very well. I put it on a brand new hoodie that hasn't been washed yet so hopefully the adhesive holds after washing. Color is vibrant and is a true match to the online picture.
