Poi in Chip-form...not really...
So as some may know, poi comes from taro and in its mashed state is sometimes an acquired taste...but Terra Taro chips needs no adjustment [except maybe less salt]. I used to buy their 'root' chips and pick out all the taro chips so I was pleased when I saw Terra had a bag of Taro chips only. The chip is hard; it seems to have the texture of a kettle chip. Is it value for money...there isn't a lot in a bag but if you're slightly obsessed about taro...then yeah. Go for it.

Great tasting but have to be in the mood
Like leather and ball gags -- a person might only be in the mood for taro chips once every few months. The flavor of taro is unique and acquired (it's the basis of poi, after all). But every few weeks the urge to have taro chips suddenly comes on and is overwhelming. These chips are a good consistency, not extremely hard but not overcooked either. They pair well with ketchup, especially gourmet flavors of ketchup such as jalapeno. Smaller portions than potato chips, but that's today's taro market.

Very Flavorful Cut nice and thick
Love these Chips. They are a little pricey but I eat them slowly since they are so nice thick and flavorful. I ordered some from another company and they were salty thin and tasteless. These were just as I remembered them and I was so happy to have found them again and I will definitely be ordering these again. The packaging was fantastic I was very pleased.

Favorite
These are my favorite. They are delicious and crispy and healthier than your average chip. 10/10 recommend if you’ve never tried. Had to reduce one star for the money price bc they could be fuller . But regardless, I buy two bags at once bc they’re my fav.

Inconsistent quality
Taro are my favorite of the root chips so i ordered these. Some bags were great. Some bags were full of burnt chips & some the chips looked & smelled extra oily. It was as if they had trouble maintaining the cooking temperature. I totally enjoyed the ones that were right but will not order them anymore if this is the quality of product they are willing to put out. Makes me question the quality of ingredients being used.
