Wonderful tool
Replaced my 30 yr old Screwpull and it made a huge difference. Now my 80 yr old arthritic hands can uncork a wine bottle again. With simple ease!

Only plastic but still superior in operation
Only plastic and looks cheap for the price, but my husband loves this so we pay for it. Have had these for years. His favorite of any we've purchased. We did have one break once, only plastic but still is our preference and we keep one on hand all the time.

I like the function, but wish the materials were nicer
This style of opener is so much easier to use than the arm style. It also seems to be more gentle and less likely to crack a delicate cork. I was surprised at how low quality it feels considering it’s Le Cruset - brittle plastic that honestly feels like it will break at the slightest touch, BUT has held up ok for several months with regular use. I do anticipate it just snapping one day though. It has that feel to it.

Loves this, second one I purchased
This is simple and easy to use. I love the design, tried all kinds, even fancy ones. I bought one 10 years ago, used frequently..ha.. pot in dishwasher. The turn handle broke, but after so many years of use I had to immediately order another

Expensive and doesn’t work!
The arms, which are supposed to encircle the bottle neck, just bend outward and slide down the bottle. I hold the arms very tightly against the neck, but as the screw turns, it doesn’t enter the cork. It just pushes the appliance down the bottle. This was a respected brand and very expensive; what a disappointment!
User
Best cork screw ever!
Love this bottle opener! Saw it reviewed on Americas Test Kitchen. At first thought it was a bit pricey for a corkscrew but it is amazing how easy it makes opening a bottle of wine. I have arthritis in both hands and using this is awesome.
User
The best, no doubt.
ATK was right!! Works on all corks regardless of condition or length (obviously not champagne style) This is 2nd one I have purchased (1st one is 10+ years old and is lost somewhere in my storage unit after moving). Literally have opened 1000’s of bottles from 2-buck Chuck to Mouton-Rothschild with this model and have never broken or left a cork in the bottle.
User
Doesn't feel strong.
Very flimsy. I was expecting something more substantial. I have not used it yet so will report on how it works later, but it doesn't feel strong enough for opening tough corks. I ordered it because ATK said it was the winner.

Screwpull
Le Creuset bought screwpull many years ago. This is still the classic design. Not fancy looking but to me, it's still the best and when inserting the device, you feel the tensioning of the screw. It's excellent.Still the fav and best in my opinion
