Bad ghost, fun, scary - great book
A cool book for grades 1-3, or maybe 2-4. There’s a reason why this series is so popular. Kids like the action, the crazy words (like KER-SPLOOT, and SPLOOSH), it’s corny, it’s incredible, and it’s a page-turner. You keep wondering - how are they going to beat this crazy ghost who seems to be able to foil every plan the kids come up with. And the kids are wondering too during the very few moments when they’re not busy trying to defend themselves. The heroes are a group of two boys and a girl; they’re pals, they’re smart, and they’re plucky. Parents, if you want your kids to enjoy reading, this is perfect. Good fun, no bad words, no bullying. And thanks to illustrator Loveridge, there are funny pictures on EVERY page. Great book.

Best books for kids who hate reading!
My son is 9 and in 3rd grade and hates reading but LOVES this series! These are definitely some of the only books that we have found which he enjoys! One of the first times he read one he said “WHAT?! I’ve been reading for 20 minutes?! It only felt like 5!!!” Thank goodness! They have a very cute and imaginative story line! I feel like they would be suitable for all kids, especially those needing a slower transition to chapter books...they are chapter books, but they have a picture every 2-3 pages which my son loves! Great for 2nd and 3rd graders...or a higher level 1st grade reader!

Good Series
My son lives this Book Series and has every book in the series. Every time a new one comes it he begs me to buy it. He is on 5th grade and loves to read. He has been reading these books since 2nd grade. He likes the series and continues to read it even though it is probably too simple for him at his age. When he gets a book he will go into his room and read it within a couple of hours. My younger son is in 4th grade and likes the series as well, he just doesn’t read as much as his brother.

This series never disappoints!!
My grandson continues to enjoy this series despite outgrowing it by now. Having begun with the very first book, he was hooked at a young age. It's perfect for the child who likes slightly spooky stories and is willing to use his/her imagination to accept strange occurrences. In the book, the kids try to outwit their evil nemesis, in the process rescuing all the people in the school ... or maybe the entire town!....... until the next time! :-D It's a fun series written by 'Jack Chabert' which is a pen name for Max Brallier - the author of "The Last Kids on Earth".
