Excellent mouse for the money!
First off this mouse is great and I don't think any other mouse for the money can compare. PROS: First off this mouse looks incredible! I also love how the mouse feels. It's nice and long and the left and right mouse clicks are nice and responsive. The DPI switch is an awesome feature to have. I cannot tell you how much it comes in handy when switching from gaming to normal computer use. The switch also makes it to where you can adjust your mouse sensitivity on the fly. That means you don't have to go into any type of control settings to adjust your sensitivity it's all at your fingertips. I also really liked the braided cable. It's just something the company went the extra mile on and it looks really nice. Last but not least the mouse has a soft rubbery type plastic feeling to it. (Keep in mind there are two mazers That appeared to be very similar although one difference is one is glossy and the other is that rubbery plastic matte looking material) CONS: Something that is rather annoying with this mouse is that if the mouse light is always on. That is minor because you can just unplug the mouse and obviously will turned it off. one thing that I feel is a little over the top is that the mouse has 4 DPI settings. I would have loved this feture even more if they would have stuck with maybe 2 DPI settings. I find it to be a pain to cycle through the settings (even though everysetting has its own color) when im trying to concentrate. My biggest concern with the mouse is the overall sensitivity of the optics. When I am gaming I am sometimes forced to the outer edges of my mouse pad therefore resulting in having to pick the mouse up and place it back on the pad in a better placement. The problem is when I pick the mouse up off the mouse pad it continues to track as if it were still on the mousepad. Keep in mind that the mouse is still relatively close to the mouse pad, with that being said I haven't had that problem with any other mouse. The way to get around it you just have to pick it up higher.... Overall I don't have much to complain about with this mouse. It feels nice and sturdy and looks and operates quite decent. I hope you found this review helpful. If you are on the fence about this mouse I would say to just get one and try it out. If anything it will make a cheap spare.

Oh my Jesus. This thing is sexy.
Nay, it is THE sex. For the first few weeks I owned this thing, I chose it over my girlfriend. I have been looking all over for a decent mouse at a decent price because I sure as hell was not about to pay $100 for a quality "gaming mouse." This thing offers me everything I wanted: - Affordability - Comfort - Light DPI customization - Quality materials - Sweet ass lights I honestly could not have possibly asked for more (OK, maybe two more buttons). It perfectly meets my needs. It fits well in my hand, it doesn't get all slippery nor sticky after a few hours of use (though I don't have sweaty hands, so yeah), the buttons have a very responsive click which is toe-curling good, scroll bar is textured for her pleasure, and the braided cable will keep you going for months. I love this thing. I just... I... I love it. So much. I'm not a huge MMO player these days, so the lack of a ton of customizable buttons isn't a huge deal to me, it's got the standard fare and that's all I need. If you're looking for something "entry level," this is totally the way to go. If this ever breaks, I will definitely be buying another from here. Background: I've had it for a few months now, absolutely no hiccups. I want to marry this mouse.

Good choice for a budget gaming mouse.
I was looking for a budget mouse after a move (some things were thrown away that weren't supposed to be) and decided to give this one a shot. The DPI switch is less than I would have liked. It is controlled by the mouse itself, which is a plus (no need for special software), but if you really want a quick switch for DPI (such as for FPS games), I couldn't recommend this mouse. For just about anything else though, it performs great! The DPI switch works just fine in terms of functionality, but the issue is with it being a single button. You have to click through to get to the DPI setting you want (moving to a lower DPI number until you reach the lowest and move back up to the highest), as opposed to some my previous mouse that had a 2-button DPI swap, allowing you to go up or down with it. This was my only real issue with the mouse. You can see my other negative notes (along with positives) down below, but for FPS gamers that want a quick swap between DPI levels, I think you should treat this mouse as if it didn't even have a DPI switch. Aside from the DPI switch design, this mouse is very nice. It is a little on the light side for what I was accustomed to, with no weights to swap in/out, but it only took a couple days to get used to it. It works great on just about any surface, no mouse pad necessary. The cord has a nice fabric covering, which is nicer than I was expecting for the price. It appears to be quite durable, being thicker than expected, but not so thick as to make the cord rigid and difficult to work with. I have fairly large hands but after a couple days it has really felt comfortable. My palm extends past the back the mouse but that hasn't been an issue. Overall, I think someone with just about any size hand could find it fairly comfortable as long as they are sitting so their elbows are fairly level with their desk/table. The lighting in the mouse didn't really do anything for me either way. For anyone that cares about the lights, the logo light on the top looks exceptional. The lighting that wraps from the front sides around the back is nice enough, but you do have the lights blocked by the structure of the mouse interior, so that lighting does have a "cheap" look to it (I personally think they should have just done the logo light and left the sides without lighting as it would look nicer imo). The other note on lighting is that the DPI light is only blue on some of the settings. For the others (including the one I use as default) the lighting is pink. There is a Hz switch on the bottom, for anyone who would want one. It shows 250 and 500 as the options. This means, when set to 500 Hz, this mouse sends data with a 2ms delay. For just about anyone, even those fairly serious about games, that should be great. Chances are your monitor isn't quicker than a 2ms delay anyways. That is all I can think to comment on. Overall a great value for the sub-$20 price. Free shipping and the promptness of getting it from Amazon were both great, as always. I gave it the 4 stars because of the DPI switch design but for any normal user who wants an inexpensive mouse that has this far (almost 2 months) performed extremely well, I would suggest giving this one some consideration.

Good, cheap, and functional
I was using a Microsoft Intellimouse for about 2 years until the clicks malfunctioned (single clicks would register as double). I had to use an old school ball wheel tracking mouse for the time being until I looked and found several value/budget gaming mice that had good reviews/feedback. E-3lue, Perixx, and Anker (and several others) had good reviews on their products. I don't do any hardcore gaming that requires detailed customization so the Mazer Type-R was a good choice. There are a lot of sellers and similar product pages on this mouse so it's possible to find cheaper prices. This mouse is good for value gaming or everyday use (I use it for both cases). Pros: - Inexpensive - Wired mouse (I'm not a wireless mouse guy since you need batteries and there can be tracking issues) - Driver-less (just plug it in and you're good to go) - 5 buttons (Left, Middle, Right, Back, and Forward); the DPI button can't really be mapped so it doesn't really count. - Matte black/rubberized coating all around the mouse (This is a BIG PRO since glossy finishes tend to attract finger prints, oils, and other disgusting residues when you use a mouse for extended hours) - The tracking is optical so it won't get any weird acceleration issues. It's also quite good. At the bottom of the mouse, there is a switch to change the polling rate from 250 Hz to 500 Hz. Of course, you can overclock to 1000 Hz in Device Manager. I find that 250 Hz or 500 Hz is fine for me. Keep in mind that the higher the polling rate, the more accurate the mouse but it'll strain more processing power from the CPU. - The DPI settings are fixed at 500/750/1250/2500 (the button will glow Dim Blue, Bright Pink, Bright Blue, and Violet respectively) - The size is not big but I have fairly small hands so it fits me fine. If you have big hands, it might not be right for you. Do some research and test mice at stores if you're really unsure :) - For a cheap mouse, the weight is not super light (which is good). It's not heavy but it's not super light either. - The entire mouse glows blue when it's on (nice touch). Blue LED. - The Teflon slippy feet are quite durable (mine is wearing out a little but that's because I'm not using a mouse pad and it's on a wooden table that's not optimal for a mouse haha) - The USB cable is braided blue/black which is great for a cheap mouse. The cable is well over 1 meter or 3 feet. - The mouse wheel (middle button) is rubberized and is very durable. Cons: - No programmable software (not really a con for me but for someone who needs the functionality of software to fully customize a mouse) - The left and right buttons can feel a little flimsy like it's about to break but that's at the tip. - Rubber smell. This was a BIG CON for me since I use this mouse daily. Your hand will have a lingering rubbery smell to it for a long time even if you wash your hands frequently. - The rubberized texture on the mouse wears off easily where your thumb grips the left side of the mouse (at the wing). The rubber started wearing out (on the left side) 2 weeks into using the mouse. Other places are still okay. - USB ONLY (I tried using a USB to PS/2 adapter since I have an older LGA 1156 motherboard with dedicate PS/2 ports). It will NOT work guys. The mouse won't have the DPI button glow the correct color and it won't move the cursor. I tried the adapter with the computer shut down and it still booted up with the cursor not moving so yeah...USB only. - Few buttons; only 5 (not really a con for me again but it could be for others) - For those saying the blue LED glow doesn't turn off when you shut down your computer, it's true if you leave the Power Supply switched on. If you shut down your computer and flip the switch to turn the PSU off completely, the mouse will turn off as well. This isn't a con for me as I've experienced this with my previous Intellimouse. I've been using this mouse for about a month now. It's working just fine and I haven't experienced any weird tracking or clicking issues yet. At the time I got it, it was around $18 but it's down to $17 and I did see some other prices so you can get it for even cheaper now. All in all, this is a great WIRED mouse if you're poor like me hahaha. The mouse looks WAY better in real life than in these images. If you see and hold it in real life, it exudes quality. Did I mention it's MATTE BLACK/Rubberized all around? XD Just get it if you're poor and want a decent "gaming" looking mouse. It's driver-less and simple to use; braided USB cable; MATTE BLACK/rubberized coating.

"It just works"
I've had it for about 3 and a half months, as of this review. Pros: *It's cheap. *It looks cool. *The mouse wheel and buttons have survived intense gaming so far. (CS:GO, WoW, etc) *It's big and good for large hands, compared to other mouses I've used. Cons: *The black texture where your fingers click is starting to peel off and leave an irritating rough spot. *The blue lights NEVER turn off. Even when my pc is turned off, the mouse stays on overnight. I have to unplug it before bed. *It clicks loudly. *The buttons on the side are annoying and unnecessary. (I have never wanted to go back a page on Chrome using the side mouse button.) One of the nicer budget mouses. It outlasted my Redragon mouse that only survived 3 months until the mousewheel and right click button started wearing down. I wouldn't purchase again, but I wouldn't recommend against it either.

Awesome Large mouse
Pros: This is a high quality well built mouse well worth the price. I like the option to change the DPI as well as the polling. You get 4 colors to let you know what DPI your at. You can change the polling (how many times the mouse communicates to the pc per second) with a switch on the bottom with the choice of 250hz- High precision and 500h-Higher precision and perfect for FPS gaming. It doesn't need or come with any crappy software to make it work right. It looks good. Its made for people with big hands. Braided cord. Solid clickers. This mouse works on almost any surface and as I found out this includes spilt cola-mouse made it through okay and cleaned up nice.LOL Cons: The buttons on the side FORWARD & BACK are kind of placed a little to far back...1 centimeter more towards the front and this would have been a perfect design. Would also be nice if the mouse was just a little taller..maybe 1 centimeter taller and then the side buttons wouldn't need moved at all. I can't say these are really cons though since I'm getting used to it. Other Thoughts: On some of the reviews people mention the lights stay on...I think they mean when their PC is in S3-Sleep mode or Hibernate which doesn't happen on every PC as it depends on the motherboard and the motherboard options as well as the ATX PSU standards...Not all boards will have USB power when in S3 or Hibernation and some motherboards have the option to turn off USB power in the BIOS- In my BIOS settings under Power Management I set "Wake by USB" to "Disable" and the mouse lights do not stay on- The only thing I let WAKE my PC is the power button.

BEST GAMING MOUSE UNDER $100 ON THE MARKET
this mouse is fantastic I'll start with the basics: the feel. It is very comfortable, it was made perfectly for medium sized right hands. The plastic doesn't get greasy it is nice and smooth, a little rubberized, even the gray parts. The extra buttons are in the perfect spot for me. The little thumb wing is a very cool feature that makes this mouse stand out and it is comfortable even if you don't use it. The cord is a braided cable with blue and black fibers of an ample length. It is very sturdy and the USB ending is not flimsy at all. The mouse clicks are very responsive and crisp, the regular mouse wheel is fine, nothing special. The mouse has a great weight to it and doesn't feel flimsy and cheap, despite the awesome price $18 USD (as of 6/8/2013). As for functionality, this mouse is stellar. Great responsiveness, and 4 settings of dpi to choose from. The lowest setting has the LED turned off and thus it gives it a dull blue. This mouse setting is pretty much useless for gamers. The next setting is fine for regular use, and it has a pink LED. The next setting is perfect and has a bright blue LED. The highest is too much for me at 2500 DPI and has a vibrant violet LED. The lights, as some have claimed, do not turn off when the computer is shut down, even with the power supply off. This is not a problem as i can just unplug it. There are no drivers so you need to set the extra mouse buttons in game, and in chrome/firefox etc they are you forward and back buttons. The mouse is smooth on the bottom and will work on almost any surface although I recommend a mousepad to preserve the integrity of such a high quality product. I have had no issues so far on my second day of heavy use. The manual was in Chinese, but who needs a manual for a mouse? The packaging was nice and I recommend keeping it for transportation. This mouse outperforms name brands like logitech and razer, even with their models being up to $100 you still cannot get a better mouse than the E-3lue Mazer. Well worth it! Great seller and even better product!

Owner since ~2013
I've actually been quite pleased with this mouse but it's not without a little meh The good: - Cost, next to a lot of the gaming mice this is pretty cheap, it seems to range between 13-20? on a good day -It works, my first one lasted me ~ 2 years before the left mouse button started to "double click" - DPI setting can be quickly changed which could be useful in some games -length of the mouse, I'm a tall fella and i can't stand the little mice that my hands dont quite fit around/on. -slides comfortably on a mouse pad and can work on most surfaces. -durability, kinda. I play DOTA2 as well as some other mobas, this can be very taxing on a mouse and it survived ~2 years for the first one and the second is around 1 year with no trouble so far. -blue lights are not overwhelming and match my keyboard . the in the middle? - If you hold down MB4, the nearest button on the left side and click both LMB and RMB it will change the DPI, personally i've never used this feature but it could be annoying if you were in a game and suddenly your mouse was really slow/fast. On the other side maybe you would use this to the opposite effect as a way to improve your performance for specific situations? - not a ton of buttons, i believe you can improve your gaming with more inputs on the mouse but you know that going in The not so good: - The right side of the mouse where you might rest your ring and pinky finger kinda peels up after a while, both mice did this after a while. It doesnt affect performance but it something you might want to know about - Left Click and then hit MB4, the left click is cancelled out. This really shouldn't happen, and could limit key bindings or something. -usb port is kinda long and could be an issue on the side or top of a pc. - i rest my thumb on MB4, without fully pressing it in. As a result the button is slightly compressed, this doesnt seem to affect preformance.
