Power Pro Spectra Fiber Braided Fishing Line

This is the toughest line I have ever used. Pulls to where it can bend some hooks in the snags. It's easy on the rod guides and tip too! Great stuff!! Catches alot of fish.

Why use old fashioned piano wire to choke out your hit? This braid is stronger and cuts through neck flesh like a hot knife through butter! Oh! And it makes good fishing line too!

Great line, the only line I use in saltwater. Caught several sharks and suffered no abrasion related break offs. It allows you to stuff about twice the equivalent weight monofilament on a reel which can really save the day when you hook in to something huge- plenty of line for big runs and twice as strong. It won't degrade in sunlight like mono or get all curly from being on the spool. I have a spare spool for all my reels so at the end of the season I just put on the spare spool and reel it up- that way I have fresh line on the fish end. The best part is that in the long run, it's actually cheaper than mono if you fish a lot. I was spooling my reels every 3 or 4 trips, usually due to "spool set" or other factors. I have Power Pro on a reel that been on there for 5 years! No problems at all, and still has 100% of listed strength. Try it some time- get a come-along, fish scale and test out you lines and knots. You will be surprised.

Hard for fish to see. Rips much more easily than I'd expect 10lb braided to tho. I've had 2 big fish snap it and I only fish freshwater banks. Very few if any fish over 10lbs where I live. And I don't power set or feel I do anything to overstress the line. I test my drag often. Don't get me wrong, it's good line, lots of fish stay on. But I'm just surprised I can rip it by hand still.

I have been using Power-pro fishing line for quite a while. It;s great for pulling your catch out of the weeds.Would recommend this to anyone who fishes where there is heavy.

With almost all tackle, you usally get what you pay for. The trick is to find good value for you money. Cheap out and you'll likely be crying in your beer when the day is done. "For me" PowerPro has proven to be well worth the money. Mostly I use it for 50 lbs plus applications. Often I'm on on Party Boats and having to deal with people that aren't paying attention and tangle lines. The PowerPro holds up and is not the weak link. Beware though, it doesn't give AT ALL, so, expect to pair it with an appropriate size Florocarbon "shock leader" when dealing with tuna and other fish that hit hard!

I put power pro braid on all of my bait casting reels from 30lb to 80lb. great for casting and trolling!Moss green is my favorite line color!

I bought this line for fishing bigger freshwater game fish, like pike, salmon & muskie. I have fished both sandy and rocky/debris-strewn bottoms and have landed fish in excess of 35 lbs with it and have had no issues whatsoever. Its small diameter and low stretch properties make.it.a.great choice for trolling, especially where you have a large amount of line out such as long-lining and planer board applications. Although the bright yellow colour claims to be "high-visibility", I would suggest that depending on lighting and other environmental conditions, it really isn't all that much more visible than the moss green colour. The line's performance is the quality I have come to expect from PowerPro.
