Finally! Plus sized calves? Try this brand.
I've had problems for years with my ankles swelling, which has only gotten worse with age and a desk job. Also, long road trips or plane trips have really made my feet and legs swell up lately. (Darn this getting old!) . I'd been advised to try compression socks, but true confession -- I'm rather plus sized and have not been able to find any that were comfortable for more than half an hour. I ordered a pair of these and the minute I put them on, I knew I'd found the right brand. They fit perfectly; they are comfortable for many hours with no pinching and my legs felt terrific all day yesterday. And here's an amazing, unexpected bonus -- they're smaller! I looked at my calves this morning and thought 'hm, they look smaller, but I'm sure that's an optical illusion/ wishful thinking.' Tape measures do not lie -- my calves are almost an entire INCH smaller just since yesterday. My ankles are noticeably less swelled up, even in our ghastly east coast humidity. Not only have I been made an instant believer, I will be ordering at least one more pair before our upcoming road trip. Fantastic product!

election of larger sizes
The leg compression sleeves arrived very quickly. I ordered them for my son-in-law after his doctor recommend they might help his calf pain from some prior injuries on one leg. Great idea, but he has large calves, and finding sleeves to fit him was a seemingly impossible task until I found Doc Miller. He sent me some photos of his leg measurements and based on that I ordered the 3X for him. They fit perfectly. He wore one on his injured leg the day it arrived and said the difference the sleeve made was unbelievable and felt so good he was actually going to wear them on both legs. He is very pleased with the compression sleeves. And I am pleased they fit and seemed to help his pain. Great product that I'm sure we'll be purchasing more in the future. Definitely worth the cost! Thank you!

Medical Quality
I’m 57, am healthy and exercise, but I have swelling around my knees, and have varicose vein issues. My vein doc wants me to wear compression stockings three or four times a week. These are the same great quality as the ones I bought from my doc’s office. I wash (hang dry) and wear these regularly; they are excellent!! People often complain that compression stockings are hard to get on - that’s because they are SUPPOSED TO BE tight! These have heels in them, so I scrunch them down and start at the foot, then slowly stretch as I pull them up. If I’m having a “weak hands day,” I stop for a few seconds, then continue. I am 5’4” so these can be stretched above my knees, reducing the swelling. They also really do energize my legs. I am so happy to have these!!

The right fit!
The first compression sleeve that I tried was a different brand. They didn't work for me because the ankle portion fit was loose while the calf portion was acceptable. My calf fits the usual Medium size measurement, but my ankles are skinny and fit the Small size measurement. The Doc Miller taper design is perfect for my lower leg profile, there is compression from the top to the bottom of the sleeve. The typical sleeve measurement table takes only the calf circumference measurement into account and not the ankle circumference. You need to consider this as you shop the various choices, but if you are buying for the first time this will be a challenge to get the right fit.As for results, the Doc Miller is doing the job for which I purchased them. I am a teacher on my feet all day and also starting to have circulation issues in my legs. My feet and legs aren't as tired at the end of the day anymore. (Note: I am a fit and slim individual but I am 62 years old. Shrug) And the minor lower leg swelling issues I was starting to experience during a 3 hour car drive, for example, have been circumvented by wearing the sleeves. I am going to start having regular leg massages to help increase blood flow in my legs. This combined with using the Doc Miller compression sleeves should be a highly effective preventative strategy for future circulation issues.**Update Dec 2016-super pleased with the compression sleeve so I ordered another pair. I used them for everyday wear now. My legs are not as tired when I go out and bird hunt for 3 - 4 hours walking, or climbing depending on the bird species I am after. I've now used them for the first time skiing. After 4 hours of hard skiing my legs aren't spent like they used to be. I'll be buying more as time goes on and the original purchase starts to show wear. I super recommend them!

Very Comfortable
I have only tried two brands of compression calf sleeves. The first brand is good and I like them fine if I'm not going to wear them for an extended period of time. It is basically straight from top to bottom, with a little flare at the top. The only problem is that after a few hours, they get uncomfortable. I tried wearing them to bed to try to get use to them, but around 2:00 AM, I woke up with my legs aching and feeling like the bones in my ankles and the tibia just below my knee were aching and painful, so I had to strip them off of my legs so I could sleep. On to the second pair, the Doc Miller's.They are shaped more like my leg with a wider flare at the top and a smaller flare at the ankle, so my legs don't start aching. I also like the material they are made with better. The material is very smooth and slides over my feet and legs much easier. They are so comfortable that I forget I'm wearing them. Like I said, I've only tried two brands, so there may be others out there just as good, but since I know how well the Doc Miller's work for me, I'm going to stick with them. The only problem with the Doc Miller brand that I've found so far is that I'd like to try their socks, but apparently they have a limited selection of colors and styles of socks. I like argyle socks, but it would be nice to have more choices than black and gray. Could you guys work on that?
