EstwingAxe Steel 18.75" L

Heavy for hiking but I always take it with me. Splitting wood makes guess so much nicer. I use the heck out of it and after 5-6 trips it needs some sharpening. It's just the right length and it's an estwing of course it's a quality tool.

The product itself is a quality tool. My problem is with Estwing's Quality Assurance dept. They are letting some pretty shoddy work leave their factory. The blade grind was ok, but the hammer end of my Special Edition16" campers axe looks like it was ground in an 8th grade shop class, same with the handle. They are totally uneven. I'm sure that the volume of tools being produced is huge. But in my opinion thats no excuse for not shipping out a quality finished product. And I'm sure Estwing management would feel the same way. The reason for my review is not to sway prospective buyers away from Estwing products, it's to hopefully open the eyes of company overhead to a problem with their product. Yea it's just an axe and is meant to get beat up. But come on guys you're Estwing, you can do better.

Worth the money and have many. Just make sure you keep it sharp and will pass on one day.
