Um….
I found the synopsis of the "Shot Glass", genius it left me engaged, with a smirk. The vulnerability of John is refreshing and humanizing. It's a welcomed, warm, feeling of connection, in this disconnected world. I feel this book will have an impact on many men's lives. I will recommend it to the men that have cracks in their egos.-JH

This book should have a subtitle...
"HOW TO BE A GOOD DUDE."That's it. Because we all know one or two. If we're lucky we have a few as our close friends. If that is the case, we have attributes already in our favor because we all know that deutsch bags and good dudes don't blend well. But not a single human ever can't be better...somewhere. Even if better just means happier in a sliver of any one of your life's complexities. Whoever and wherever we may be in life's roller coaster of ups and downs, this book is relatable. If you're anything like me - you'll find yourself mostly aligning with the author's opinions and views. By the same token - you'll inevitably wonder just how and where you fit across the myriad of essential life topics brought to life by stories and experiences shared throughout this book.

Fast, Funny, Insightful
I follow John Kim (Instagram, podcast, blogs etc). He has a really great voice and solid insights into lots of different topics including this one which I would categorize as being a better man. Of course, as a woman I don't need to know how to be a better man so much as I was curious on this man's take on what being a man was really all about. It was illuminating and amusing. If you've read any Brene Brown about shame and masculinity and how that manifests itself, this is a great complimentary read. Buy it, you'll like it.

Page turner
I am not a reader, but this book had me finishing it in only two days. I love how real the author is and speaks as if directly to you. I gained insight in my own life and learned a lot from this book. A great book for those of you on a journey of self discovery like me and such a great easy read for beginners.

John Kim Nails it
John Kim nails it, I and my son have been readings this together. And it's best to discuss with other people who are reading. As a 70 year old, it's never to late to learn and stop patterns of behavior (and reactions).I've recommended this book to a large number of people.Catch his Angry Therapist podcast, I have been listening from the beginning, and only up to pre-pandemic 2020.It is clear to the point and explains why. In a shot glass.

A great personal development read
Got the book for my boyfriend. Found him on the floor with his feet up the other day and he told me : the Angry therapist also had trouble medidating like me, so I am now looking for a different way to find peace. If that's not personal growth, I don't know what is! Now waiting for him to finish it, so that I can read it myself.

One of best "how to" books I have read. Highly recommended!
A book I'd recommend every person focusing on a relationship (whether single & ready to mingle or in a relationship) to read in India. Here's an unfortunate truth in India, we don't always learn to romance and nurture romantic relationships from our parents or loved ones. A large part of what we know comes from movies. And at home, the man has to fit the provider role and the woman has to fit nurturer role... and expressions of love (especially if there's any element of physical touch including holding hands or kissing) must be saved for when the lights are out and the couple is safely behind closed doors. But our times have changed... We are not our parents and we don't live in the world they grew up in. Our definitions of love are different but our behaviour isn't aligned with that. Thank you John for writing a simple "how to" book. Yes, a lot of references are very American... But hey we are the generation that grew up on MTV & Beverly Hills 90210... We'll get the references and we are smart enough to translate it for our cultural setting. To all the boys & girls out there's, this book makes for a very interesting flight read when heading on that next trip out. So pick it up and let's change how we date & love each other.
