Can’t beat a good old chip pan chip. You have to watch it though. It’s not like a deep fat fryer,

Functional, good quality, great price. Only quibble is that the basket is a little small which reduces the potential capacity. You can cook chips for two people in this basket, but only just.

Brilliant!

The actual pan is very sturdy, but the basket is not, it is not flat on the bottom and does not sit that well in the pan.

I had a faithful chip pan for many many years and I thought I would treat it to a deep clean in some very strong oven cleaning solution! I left the old pan in the strong bag, in the garden....... for a week! Forced to buy a new pan, this one does what it is designed to do, oven chips are fine but you can't beat the occasional fried chips! Actually not as thick and heavy as my old one so I won't be letting it anywhere near the strong oven cleaning solution but the lid actually fits with the basket still in which my old one didn't do so the old one disintegrating was a good thing in the end!

This brings me back to my childhood and proper chips. I was fed up of limp, pale oven chips that took ages to cook and were tasteless so decided to go back to a chip pan. This certainly does the job, no complaints so far. I had a delivery query and the seller was helpful and got back to me promptly.

So happy with this pan made fantastic chips but having used it weekly with no problems I am now feeling rather concerned, not with the actual pan but with the basket, as we started to eat we noticed that there were several slivers of what appears to be silver metal on the chips. One family member had noticed this previously but had just removed the slivers of metal and said nothing. I examined the pan carefully and came to the conclusion that these slivers had come off the basket not the pan and I do feel that this should be brought to the sellers attention. So at the moment feeling a bit concerned and disappointed.
