WOW!!! UPDATED- still a 5 star
First impressions, very stout and appears to be well made. For the money this seems like the best deal going. Aluminum reel seat which is a must, rollers are aluminum and functional. I have not used this yet but will update my review as soon as I use it. One note in general concerning rods, amazon needs to learn how to ship rods. I am always nervous when I open a thin cardboard box that gets banged up during delivery.UPDATE: I have used this Okiaya rod for over a year and a half. It has performed flawlessly!! I use it off shore tolling and I have yet to have any issues. All rollers still function properly, the finish is still in great shape and the action is excellent.I have this rod teamed up with an Okuma Makaira 20se, All of my rods and reels are top of the line, high dollar equipment. This is by far the least expensive item that I use but it performs!!! Highly recommend Okiaya I plan on purchasing a bent butt that is rated for 80-100lb in the near future.UPDATE*** Closing in on 3 years with this rod and it is flawless!! I have added 2 Okiaya bent but rods teamed with Okuma Makaira's and have not had a single problem from these rods!!! I highly recommend this product.Update**over 4 years and it functions great. I have since added 2 Okiaya Bent but roller rods. Best value trolling rods out there.

GREAT ROD, HIGH QUALITY
When I ordered this I was skeptical of the quality because of lack of reviews and not a lot of people had any info on it. So I ordered one and received in in about 5 business days. WOW. Extremely nice rod. Very well put together, rollers, grip, reel seat, everything looks high quality. Will be ordering a couple more for my internationals. Cant beat this quality for this low of a price.

Used for deep sea fishing and deep drop ,great value for good quality rod ,with pac bay rollers.
