3” rollers don’t appear to be Wooster/smooth finish
I had a 4.5” roller in this same finish (1/4” nap) from my local paint store, but ordered the two of 3” for another project…. one was unsealed and the other looks like it was resealed with a heat gun. The finish doesn’t seem to match that of the 4” I got from my local paint store, I think they’re repackaging in Wooster wrapping to pass them off as such.

Best rollers for smoothe surfaces
Best rollers for smoothe surfaces. No lint easy to clean. Holds enough paint to be functional yet not so much that it’s heavy or wastes paint when you go to clean it. It cleans and dries well and I get many uses out of one roller. I’ve been painting cement board siding and the rough edges are hard on the ends of the roller yet they still hold up well. I like the 7” roller b/c it’s more manageable for my messed up shoulders yet covers more than their jumbo mini. Obviously you need Wooster 7” frame. I have never seen these in any local store so be sure to order a few! The cheaper pro dooZ 7” is a nice compromise for rougher low sheen surfaces or primers. But the mohair is best for a great finish.

Use lint tape prior to delicate finish work.
Needed this for two part epoxy application. Should have used a lint tape prior as I still encountered fine fibers from the roller in my finish.

Worked well for smooth finish using latex paint.
I bought this to provide a smooth finish using latex paint on one wall in a home theater. The wall is used as a projection screen. So, a perfect finish was a must.I initially had reservations after seeing reviews indicating it did not hold up to water-based paint. But, in my case that was not an issue at all. I planned to roll on two coats of paint. The wall is 16x8. I rolled on the first coat and then wrapped the roller in plastic wrap. Four hours later, after the first coat set, I unwrapped it and used the same roller for the second coat. I had no issues at all and ended up with a great, smooth finish.

Left hairs...
Bought these to keep hairs out of a tub paint job, but they left hair in the paint. Not sure if there are better ones out there or not, tube and tile paint is excessively sticky.

Not a smooth finish.
I got this roller to paint my dresser and it left bumpy textures. Sadly it wasn’t a smooth finish as they claim it to be. But it did apply the paint quite opaquely.

Best value right here!
I use mohair rollers when I refinish hardwood floors. It lays oil based polyurethane down extremely smoothly. Feels like glass! I prefer this roller over the lambs wood applicator.

Best roller we've found so far.
This is by far the best roller we have found. We are completely remodeling the inside of the house so all new trim and doors. While obviously not as smooth as using a spray gun, it is bar far smoother then any other roller or brush we've found. We used Flo-trol and thinned down the paint to the manufacturers specs. We've reused the couple we have multiple times and while they are very time consuming to clean completely, we've had no issues with them wearing out.
