AKONARoller Duffel Bags

Simple bag holds a ton and is very lightweight while being very sturdy. It is a minimal bag,But that's what keeps it light. No brand name all over to say, hey, steal me! Used it for dive gear on a three week solomon islands trip. Held up Excellent. Highly recommend. I will probably buy another.Update. Trip 2 and this is my go to bag. The straps cinch around the bag with nice big snap buckles. They can be rearranged to be back pack straps if you want. But I hate backpack straps hanging on my bag, so it is a clever design that they are cinch straps also. I really liked having my bag closed with the cinch straps over the zipper in case the zipper opens. I usually zip tie my zippers, and with only one zipper this bag is nice. It has a really nice shoulder strap, curved, padded, and nice heavy duty clips.This is a very good duffel with good wheels, very sturdy handle, and secure closure system. I like it more then my cressi moby bag. Not as big, but so much easier, lighter, and secure. Great straps everywhere for baggage handlers to grab. Nice soft duffle for small planes. I have really beat on this bag. It is really awesome. I could fit bcd, fins, and everything for an extended trip in this bag.

Used twice for overseas trips; once to Cayman and once to Hawaii.Bag is perforated with holes and the stitching split where the top flap meets the body of the bag.Suggest you look elsewhere for a durable bag.

The bag is shorter than I wanted but all my gear fits in it and @49 POUNDS, IT'S LEGAL! Seems durable but air travel does weird things to luggage. Strong crossover straps. Big wheels which I hope solved the problem of wheel or axle breaking with 50 pounds like my High Sierra bags did. Biggest complaint is the replaceable wheels and axles. Nothing in item description leads me to believe I must return to manufacturers not vendor fo replacement. Vendor didn't know the answer when I asked about purchasing extra set of wheels and axles, the main reason I bought this. Description just says"replaceable wheels and axles". Trusting this is the last bag I need to buy. Am on my fourth one.Amazon need to edit the description because by the time I send the bag back to the manufacture and pay shipping cost, I could have a new bag.

Bought two for my wife and I for an up coming cruise and they have tons of room. I can get a set of full gear in one with extra room for other items. I dont know if you would get two sets of gear like some claim but they are probably using a travel BCD and fins. We do not. We have regular size gear. I cant afford to have regular gear and travel gear. The extra $25 bag fee is worth it in my opinion. My only complaint so far about this bag is that the zipper pulls are too small to use a TSA lock through the holes that already have cord pull lanyards through them from the factory. So you have to put the TSA lock through the cord lanyards which is not very secure since you can just cut it very easily with a knife or scissors. Or just cut the lanyards off which I may do. I thought ACONA would have thought this out better. Any way, other than the zipper pulls I realy like the bags. But time will tell as they have not been truly tested yet.

Pros: it actually is lightweight and very spacious. I started out really impressed and would have been completely satisfied if it had held up.Cons: It only took one flight to rip the bag in two places, so the "durable fabric" description is false. The seller, DIPNDIVE, contacted Akona when I reported this and asked the company if the warranty covered any remediation. Turns out both DIPNDIVE and Akona blame the airline, saying the problem was due to being mishandled.I completely disagree because it is obvious, like some other reviews have mentioned, that there are places where the thin fabric is covering a hard surface. Put fabric between two hard surfaces ...obviously there is a risk that they will rub and damage the fabric. It is clearly a problem with the design that could have been prevented with some strategically-placed reinforcements like much other luggage has. Such a shame that the seller and brand are distancing themselves from responsibility.

i got this bag specifically for the dimensions as will be using for air travel to carry my tent, sleeping pad, sleeping bag etc for camping - i am not talking about minimalist backpacking gear here and my stuff fits with room to spare for my hammock gear, pillow and some clothing - only disappointment was i had to return and reorder as came with damaged packaging and also a missing bottom foot pad - it is very well made of thick canvas material and large sturdy wheels - i especially appreciate the wide clip cinch straps with built in straps that hold the ends of the cinch straps - there are handles on both ends and large u shape opening of the entire top for easy packing and unpacking - very well thought out design features and well made to boot - should be multi-purpose useful not just camping gear but as mentioned needed these dimensions for those things ;-)

I bought this bag to take scuba gear with me on a irline trip to the keys. I was able to fit all the gear I needed in the bag including my full size BCD regulator fins mask etc. It worked out well and the bag was plenty roomy for my gear. I did not pack a wetsuit since my wetsuit is 7 mm which is too thick for the keys.

the side where the roller handle is is not fully framed as the bottom is, so this is not a rectangle bag, as the picture would lead you to believe, the top collapses fully, and the bag resembles more a triangle shape, so contents would be crushed in the baggage pile. Otherwise seems it will do the job for the price.
