My knife handle broke while slicing a piece of cheese
I’ve been reasonably satisfied with this knife set since I purchased it, up to this point. It’s definitely no better than any other knife set in its price range. I just purchased it because it matched my dishes and bowls. One of the knives broke (handle) while slicing cheese a couple days ago – apparently there is no warranty through Amazon or the seller for this. So of course I’m disappointed.

Crap quality
Breaking after 4 months!I was so happy to get these for Christmas. They are beautiful. After 4 months they are literally breaking. The knife is attached to a PLASTIC handle inside the silicone handle. The plastic literally broke off inside the handle. This is on the smaller 2 knives so nothing hard was being cut. With normal wear and tear these broke. My husband also complains he cannot sharpen them satisfactorily. I’ve gotten better knives at WalMart. I have tons of Fiestaware and thought these would be the perfect compliment. Skip these knives and buy good ones.I am very unhappy.

Colorful
Set on the counter, this knife block set is in fact Festive! The carbon content allows for sharpening and the honing rod does it's job. Major issue I had was that the hilt of the knife, ain't really there. The blade end at the handle featured a 90 degree end that allowed for your finger to get nicked. It stems from a weak design to begin with and inexpensive finishing. I filed these points down/off. It's an inexpensive set of medium quality and should work fine for years. The product has been in use for a few months now. Really, the only thing that works on these knifes is the BLADE! The tang does not go through the handle and as mentioned by other reviews, the handles break in half. I've epoxied them back and sometimes they mend and sometimes they don't. The tomatoe / cheese blade is excellent, and the rest are fine too. The problem is lack of a full tang through the handle together with the design flaw at the hilt mentioned above. There's better products out there, just not by Fiesta.

Beautiful but nonfunctional
We love Fiestaware and have several things in our kitchen so we were excited to add a knife set! The knives have a plastic core in the handle that attaches to the knives and the handle breaks off with minimal pressure. We've already had one replacement and I just don't use these knives for anything like carrots or something harder. Also the knives rust! I hand wash these knives and put them away, never ever leaving them to soak yet they still have rust spots on the ones I use the most. This was such a disappointing addition to our collection and I would highly suggest not buying them unless you just want something that looks really nice on your counter for show.

These are garbage, 0 stars.
This is my second set of these knives. The first set I loved, and they lasted for years until our home burned in a wildfire. They were sturdy and well-made. After the fire, someone purchased a set for me from my wishlist, but I never received it and never pursued where it ended up. I was happily anticipating being able to replace my lost set and SO HAPPY when they arrived.However...before the first use, the cap popped off of the back of one of the knives when I was putting them in the block. Hmm OK, I'll glue that back on. Then, later that evening I went to cut a very soft cheese, called Toma, when the knife snapped and I almost cut myself. The shank of the knife is plastic, covered in a sleeve of silicone, with stainless accents. I figured that it was a fluke and maybe that knife had been made wrong (even though it was not the knife that the cap had popped off of originally). Imagine my surprise when the next knife did the same thing, on the same soft cheese. Toma is not even as hard as Monterey jack. I have gingerly checked the knives and they all appear to be made as horribly. I am quite surprised and extremely disappointed. No I have not yet contacted the company, but I will be. Amazon asked my opinion and here it is. Do not buy these knives unless you just want to look at the pretty handles on your counter.
