Smoked Gouda Cheese (1 lb)

Package was received, very secure and kept cool. It is really tasty, and I will most likely order again. Great quality, love it!

I looked for smoked Gouda after having found one I really liked at a home show. This one was less expensive and just as good . Yum!

The flavor and texture of the gouda was quite nice, also the packaging was easy to open.

Total rip-off!!! $35 for a 4in block of cheese?! Shame!

I love smoked cheese. Swiss, Cheddar, Mozzie, you name it. But my favorite? Gouda. While many mainstream and supermarket cheeses sold in the "speciality" area can contain this type, is is seldom anything bold or flavorfull of anything outside a minor "eh, its good." I found the smoke on this cheese a little light for my tastes but allowed the richness of the natural flavor to shine a bit more. I love to put it on all sorts of stuff, and to melt it over anything that needs a good smokey, sharp bit. The price is a little hefty, and I cannot say I would recommend it so heavily to pay more than supermarket price, but it is a fine selection for any fan of this delicious cheese.

I wondered if I'd regret ordering cheese from Amazon.Zero regrets. The cheese is not only delicious and 1/3 the price of buying at my neighborhood stores, it was packaged in such a way that it would have been fine on my porch for a few hours (I got it on my way out in the morning).Not sure how it would fair during the summer though.
