CURT Manufacturing 45260 Class III 2" Ball Mount

This extended hitch bar works perfectly for my situation - I needed at least 5" of bar exposed between the end of the hitch and the ball mount. This gives me 5.75" to slide the bike carrier into the bar and still have a hitch to pull the boat. It's difficult to find anything close locally, but they delivered it in under 12 hours! Spectacular service, at $32 was a bargain!

Love this hitch. Bought it because its a couple inches longer, so when towing my trailer i can drop the tailgate without it hitting my trailers prop handle. Super sturdy, nice welds, great paint finish.

Perfect hitch if towing with an oversized spare tire on your tailgate (ie Jeep or Bronco). Allows for the perfect amount of clearance and still looks good! Was running a hitch extender before finding this gem. Not only did it look ridiculous and was way too long, the clinging and clanging I heard as I drove was crazy. No noise when running this hitch. Great product and great price.

I have a 2022 Wildtrak Bronco with the Sasquatch package. I also have a 1600 lb popup that I use the bronco to tow. I originally had a standard ball mount on my Bronco. When I purchased the camper, I had to remove the 35" spare tire to tow. The jack on the camper couldn't clear the tire. That was not a great solution and didn't want to remove the tire every time I went camping. Next, I bought an 8" hitch extension. That solved the issue of clearing the tire. I didn't like the sound of things back there when I drove over bumps. I also didn't like the stance of my back wheels when the camper was installed. Then after some research I realized the hitch extension was a terrible idea. I had no idea that it reduced my towing capacity by half. After searching high and low, I found this ball mount and it was the perfect solution to my problems. It has enough length to clear the tire. I still get to keep my towing capacity. Finally, it is one solid piece so I don't have to worry about sounds and multiple places for failure. On top of that you can't beat the price. I've used on two trips that were over 5 hours one way and had no issues. If you have a lighter camper that doesn't need a weight distribution hitch, this is a perfect solution to clear large rear tires on jeeps or Broncos.

Got the hitch, gave it a quick once over and then installed the ball to use it immediately, but right after installing the ball I noticed this chip in the powder coating (see photo). Disappointed to see that especially with rust showing through already. I had to use it because I needed it for a short run but I'll be sending it back. Edit on 9/22/24 - I sent this one back and then bought the same thing again assuming that the bad finish was an anomaly. The second one is in good condition and I'll be keeping it. I bought it because it's long and it works well with the spare tire on my Jeep Wrangler. Other than the chipped powder coating on the first hitch I'm happy overall and grateful for Amazon's return policy. I upgraded my rating to four stars.

Works great. Just far enough past jeep spare tire. Use to fight to latch hitch. Wasn’t much room between hitch and spare so could open or close latch. Still has good weight rating

Super product for anyone who own any kind of SUV with a back door mounted spare tire. Shipping was quick, price is a little on the high side but since i needed it...Definately recommended.
