Mason Pearson Combs are manufactured in Switzerland by a contract manufacturing facility that ONLY makes combs. The same, strict, quality control standards followed in our brush making are applied to our combs. Mason Pearson combs are Hand Made from the finest celluloid material in the world. This is the same material used to make designer costume jewelry, hair ornaments, and eyewear. Look carefully at the “tortoise” pattern of our combs. You will notice, the “3D’ effect of the “shell” pattern. This is the result of an internationally patented process that replicates natural tortoise shell. The “plastic” comes to the factory in Switzerland from Italy in a sheet, where it is die-cut into general the general shapes of the comb styles. From that point, until the comb is finished, everything is done by hand. Each tooth is cut, one at a time, on a special saw. The comb is then tumbled in a polishing drum to smooth the surface. The next step is hand polishing to remove all burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections. Finally, it is buffed to create the high gloss finish. One of the best new grooming tools in my arsenal
I can't guarantee this product will straighten frizzy hair, or prevent hair loss; however this is a very nice comb that I hope will last many years. I can honestly say that it glides through my hair better than the plastic combs, and doesn't pull out my hair, even when combing through pomade. The Dressing Comb is their biggest model and feels very solid in the hand. This is the only brand of comb they sell at Neiman's, if my memory serves me correct. I'm going to purchase the pocket comb for myself, and the detangling comb and rat tail comb for my mother.

Worthy splurge
Honestly thought a $40 plastic comb was the kind of thing nouveau riche folk bought themselves to feel bougie, but I'm pleasantly surprised. This is much better than the drug store $6 black plastic combs I've always used. The tines are squared off and feel substantial, parting hair better without scratching my scalp. I've noticed my hair sits better after use. Still egregiously expensive for what it is but at least you get what you pay for.

Quality comb -- but overpriced in my view
Good quality comb, but I didn't think it was worth $30. Perhaps if you're a dude who plays with your hair for hours you might want one of these, but for the average guy who has a bit of hair that you want to style, it's not worth the extra money -- but that's just my opinion. As for the quality of the product, it's very sturdy and looks like it will last for quite a while.

High quality, worth the higher price
The difference in quality between this and the standard drug store comb is visible. There are no rough edges, it is firmer with enough flexibility. The only thing that might have been an improvement would be if it was somewhat larger. The health of my hair has definitely improved with Mason Pearson tools.

Good quality sturdy feel
Good quality fit and finish. Each tooth is well rounded but not too blunt, no snags or sharp edges. The shaft has a nice feel good thickness, feels very sturdy. The shaft is thicker and the comb tapers down at the tooth. Overall great quality. Shipping was on time.

This is an everyday luxury. Feels way better than regular combs. Very spendy but is quality.

The best comb
Having used a Mason Pearson hairbrush since being a teenager and yes it’s still as good as new, I wanted to replace my comb so it had to be this one. Great quality and size.

This comb is incredible
had to replace my Nason & Pearson after 30 yaers, yes, 30 years. Because it is not plastic it glides through your hair and sorts out the knots very easily. I cannot recommend this highly enough, in fact I am buying them now as Xmas gifts for my friends - or if their birthday comes first!
