Dropped right in and it works perfectly!
I had a 15 year old, two ton Rheem furnace blower motor go out. I looked all over for the original part/model number, but could not find one. I found a “replaces X” for $237.00, but that seemed expensive. I know enough to be dangerous and there are four things that matter when replacing a motor: Size (48Y), horsepower (1/2), voltage (115V) and RPMs (1075). This motor dropped right in with no problem. I was worried about it having a different color code and tracing out what wire did what, however they were identical. It came with a multi tap capacitor and I had to read the directions to select the correct tap. It now works perfectly after I installed it. I checked the amperage with an amp clamp and it’s about 10 percent more efficient than the old one. The ONLY thing I can complain about is the packaging. It clearly says that it’s made by A.O. Smith, but the package that arrived said it was made by Century. Like I said, it works perfectly so I would say that the name is a secondary and distant concern.

Don't forget the mounts!
I received the motor promptly as always when buying from amazon but when I opened the box I quickly realized I had an issue because there were no mounts on the motor which was my fault because the picture clearly shows there isn't one! The motor on my ac/furnace has the mounts welded onto the motor frame so I'm now stuck with waiting 2 more days on a mounting bracket so I can install my new motor. Learn from my mistake and do yourself a favor and make sure you have a detachable mount on your old motor! If not order one WITH the new motor so your not stuck with a very miserable household that's going on day 3 of 90+ degree high heat and humidity. One other thing is to make sure your mounting bracket fits the diameter of your motor and the bolt pattern/width of the fan housing that the motor mounts to.

Easy Install, Smooth Running
Good replacement motor for a furnace blower. My old motor was running ok, but i could feel vibration in the floor above the furnace. This runs much quieter and the vibration is gone. Motor comes with a configurable capacitor (same as mentioned in another review), although the description didn't mention this little bonus. Listing says A.O. Smith brand. A.O. Smith was purchased by Century. Motor I received was Century branded, with FDL6001A part number. Installation was easy with no surprises. The motor kit also comes with rings to adjust the mount diameter to fit your motor mount. I had to add two rings to fit my old motor mount. The lead wires are pre-terminated with insulated female spade. So essentially if you need a new motor, this should have about everything you need in the box.

It did fit and is working fine. As a "will fit" part
As with many things, this has become (or seems to have become) a "will fit" part. It did fit and is working fine.As a "will fit" part, some modifications had to be made to end up with a nice install on a Clean-Burn Waste Oil furnace. Not insurmountable but extra work. I would imagine if used in an outside condenser there would be plenty of room and really be no extra trouble.Now.....will we get 25+ years out of this one? ;>0

Worked perfectly ,quieter than the original
This was the correct blower motor for my luxaire furnace. It was the best price I found and also came with the run capacitor. Installation was easy and it even came with the mounting bracket which I didnt need. Most importantly, it worked perfectly and was much quieter than the original motor.

Works like a charm!
Our old Heat/AC Unit now works beautifully now! This blower motor worked Flawlessly! We installed this unit 1 month a go and having been using constantly since with no issues! NOTE: Stay away from the Fasco blower motor with the same specs that is being sold on here, as we returned two of those units before purchasing this motor! Thanks A.O. Smith for a good price and quality product!

This unit is A Century brand motor that included a Capacitor. The motor was installed in Comfort-Air furnace GMUH75-E3N.It bolted right up works smooth, but will it last 17 years as the original motor. Fairly easy to install. This was an Amazon prime purchase shipped quickly.
